  1. I'll go check, I like these a lot these were fashionable when I was knocking about in xr3i's e30 BMW 325's and mk1 Astra gte's
  2. Sorry I'm new around here, do these fit a glanza? Do you have any pictures of them on a glanza? First dibs pending a couple of pictures.
  3. Cheers guys that makes sense I never knew it had cat temp sensor, yesterday I replaced a few broken wires and broken plug connectors when I came across this plug doing nothing. Cheers again guys have a pat on the back for the reply's :)
  4. I fitted a new lambda sensor today as my car came without 1. I found a single wire that had been cut from the loom a white wire so joined the lambda there as it was the only single wire not connected. I noticed this plug pictured not connected to anything and I can't see anything or anywhere it might go?? The plug I'm talking about is the grey plug pictured it's got 2 wire's in it sits ontop of the gearbox r/h/s looking at the engine bay,The other yellow wire pictured is going to the lambda I've just fitted. It splits from the loom and the other wires go to the oil pressure switch, water t
  5. Pumps still not here, has anyone ever heard of a knackered pump that illuminates the abs light on startup then goes out again?
  6. The saga continues...... Replaced the proportional valve and tried to bleed the l/h rear calliper but still can't get any fluid to it. I opened the outlet to the rear brakes on the proportional valve and no fluid is getting to that either. I then opened the brake pipes between the pump and the proportional valve and no fluid is coming out the pump with car running and switched off?? I then opened the inlet between the pump and the master cylinder and the pump is getting fluid to it. So I'm getting fluid to the pump but not out of it?? I've ordered a pump it should be here today I'm hoping t
  7. Got the calliper off again and it's away getting the broken nipple fixed. Will get it back tomorrow now. Got a brake proportion valve from a breaker on eBay I've had a load of bits off him and he's good with postage and gonna have it here tomorrow aswell. I priced this valve from Toyota and they wanted £210 for it. When I got it off I I filled the compressor in the garage with air,its a hydro vein and delivers 7bar of pressure i used a blower type end in the inlet and only got air passing thru out the outlet for the r/h/r and vise versa and passing air into the valve thru the outlet for the
  8. Yea I'll try to clean it out,its very inaccessible without lifting the car and ill need to get under it to make the job easier. If I can't clean it and get it working ill price a new unit I realise the dealers are expensive burned this sorted ASAP and I've replaced everything else with new would seem daft to mess about with a 2nd valve which may be problematic. Off to get this caliper sorted now ill remove the valve and see what's happening it has to come off anyway. Cheers again for the shout ill report back hopefully ill have good brakes
  9. Right bit of an update I'm still none the wiser Managed to crack the metal pipe at the l/h/r flexi press the pedal no fluid. Traced the pipe back to a 4 way metal junction valve type thing bolted to the bulkhead, the pipe was undamaged to this valve thing. Cracked the metal pipe coming from this valve no fluid when the pedals pressed?? What is this valve? Is it just a 4 way splitter for the 4 corners? Is it an actual valve? Not sure how this works. Cracked the metal brake pipe on the 4 way splitter for the working r/h/r calliper and was getting fluid when the pedal is pressed?? This leads
  10. Hi mate cheers for the quick reply I've been slow as I'm on nite shift last nite and tonight. Just found this problem on Sunday before I started work. Anyway, Ill check the pipes are not crushed never thought about that and I've not checked them. Ill also trace the pipe back and disconnect it at the abs pump see what's happening there. I was bleeding the brakes with my old man in the car, when I opened the banjo bolt and the pedal remained solid, this is when I discovered it wasn't getting any fluid as I had the bolt out completely and still had a good foot pedal. Ill get the calliper off la
  11. I've replaced all the brakes on my 96 glanza v I've fitted 2 new front disc+pads and 2 handbrake cables, I've also fitted new pads in the rear as the discs seem ok and just need a clean up. My glanza has been off road for near 3 yrs I believe and all the brakes were in very poor condition. I've replaced the r/h/r with a 2nd hand caliper as mine had seized completely and had the l/h/r caliper off to clean and fit pads. Since refitting both calipers I've managed to bleed the r/h/r caliper no probs but couldn't get the l/h/r to bleed at all. I managed to snap the bleed nipple so decided to bl
  12. As above need a r/h rear calliper (drivers side) in excellent working condition for a 96 glanza v with abs. Need a good working caliper ASAP please, let me know what you have with a price posted please, Thanks on advance.
  13. Yea very nearly ready for an mot been sorting lots of little odds and ends. The rear fog light is broken and the wires have been cut??? Need to fit a new fog light and find the switch. Lots of bodged wires and unfinished bits. Had to get a filter relocation kit as the turbo wasn't fitted with any filter. Been working loads this week and last but got some time off coming up soon. I've fitted all new brakes and handbrake cables set the fuel pressure and changed the plug leads and plugs. It runs well but I've not drove it yet as there's been no filter on it or any brakes
  14. Ahhh cheers mate for quick reply yea my oil pressure switch is on with a spade connector and its very loose will need redone. I managed to get a grey round plug connector from the oil pressure switch on the starlet thought I may need it. My water temp sensor is also connected with spade connectors and its shoddy too, I managed to get a green squarish plug for the water temp from the starlet. I took the water temp sensor aswell so I can try it,if it fits my glanza ill replace the plug and the temp sensor. Hopefully get this sorted out on Monday its the 1st chance ill get near the car again.
  15. Bought a radiator from nick, he done me a good deal and it arrived faster than a speeding bullet. Well packaged and as described, its as exactly as it says on the tin ;) Good fella who kept me informed and checked everything was ok after it arrived. Cheers mate.
  16. Any of the starlet wire guru's answer a question I've got? I bought a 1996 glanza v and on closer inspection and pointed out from another member on here some of the plug connectors from the loom are broken. Plug for oil pressure switch is broken Plug for water temp sensor is broken After trying to source these plugs with no luck I found a uk starlet non turbo model in the scrappy and managed to cut the plugs off I need with a few inch of wire to resolder. I've not checked yet but I'm wondering if these plugs from the starlet will fit my glanza ok?? Are the wire looms the same in both cars
  17. Looks good mate in the best colour too IMO I read the advert but assumed you wanted offers around £5k for it. Assuming I can haggle 10% off I'm thinking you want £4.5k maybe £4k still strong money for your car. I always price cars to sell, advertise at what you'd be willing to accept for it. And whilst any details negotiations are going on you can then state that the cars priced to sell and you won't come and go if any on the price. Lets potential buyer know where you stand before they even view it. If they come out its as described and does what it says on the tin then its up to them to pa
  18. At 5k I wouldn't be too optimistic of it having a new owner any time soon :)
  19. Have you gone down the route of contacting police? Longer you leave it the less chance they will do anything about it.
  20. As mentioned by me in the other thread contacting the police with all the info you have you sort you out. I've seen it happen on another forum. He dismissed my comment because its true. Need help in Dundee? Contact me ill remove your bits myself no probs, I'm all over Dundee and will see or hear about this car quick if its in Dundee.
  21. Seen a white glanza at crail today on the 1/4 mile strip looked and sounded well. Think it had a k private reg with black wheels. I was there in my Evo for a look
  22. Can anybody help me out with a couple of plugs from a glanza wire loom. I'm after the plug and a couple of cm of wire for the OIL PRESSURE switch from the loom. Also the plug and a couple of cm of wire for the COOLANT TEMP SENSOR also from the loom. And a Pcv valve the 1 on the top of the rocker cover also the grommet to fit it if possible. Let me know what you have with a price posted please. Or does anyone know if these plugs are the same on other toyota's which would help my search aswell Thanks in advance
  23. Something similar to this effect this is not a whole wrap. Its lots of individual pieces different colours black and grey, very simple and effective I like it and fancy giving it a bash. Wanted to do it on my 1st Evo as in the picture below contacted the company that done it but never got round to it.
  24. yours is lovely looking. I wanted a white 1 too,all my cars are usually white in colour I've got a thing for white cars I tend to buy a model of car I'm after and 9/10 it will be in white except when they don't come in white. Not many cars dont come in white as a colour, except Williams clio's and maybe 1 or 2 others. I'm a panelbeater to trade and will address the body work later my good mate has his own bodyshop so painting is no problem for me. I'm in 2 minds what to do with this 1, either back to standard in moonstone blue again. Or I've been contemplating doing something mad, either a m
