I'm servicing the car tomorrow, it's running roughly 170bhp with a CT12. what spark should I run and what gap? Cheers.
-
ordered from idworks. so hopefully be here tomorrow.
-
Now ordering metal Gaskets so hopefully that will sort it. If not skimming :/.
-
Yeah this is exactly it mate, nail on the head. It's fine on idle as soon as boost is hit, starts ticking.
-
ok Cheers will do . guna do this tomorrow cheers.
-
Where do I get decent gaskets? and the first that blew I made myself, so probably extremely unlucky with the gaskets. chess
-
that is next on the agenda, to get skimmed. We put loctite and they still moved when manifold got hot.
-
head hasn't been skimmed, I meant getting manifold skimmed.
-
I Brought a zisco manifold from ebay (yeah shouldn't off), and it keeps blowing manifold gaskets it's been through two now it's fine when it starts as soon as boost is hit, ticks from manifold and the bolts can be Done up tighter. would there be anything causing the problem in the head like the bolts not nipping up? or maybe the manifold needs skimming. Thanks

your welcome .

it was the water temp sensor earth wire had snapped. Thanks for the help . starts first time now
-
the coolant temp sensor earth wire was snapped. now fixed and starting for anyone that's interested.

cheers Thanks for replying. but it's weird tho you have to switch key turn key off, switch key turn key off about ten times it'll run but be lumpy and if you give it throttle it tries to die, give it two - three minutes on its own power and then it's fine. Only does it from cold start, as soon as it's warm starts first time. manifold does need sealing but I'm waiting on parts. cheers pete
-
has been fine, manifold split and caused engine management to come on. And now struggles to start you have to do short turns off the key until it eventually turns over. Please help! Cheers pete

I've only had my Starlet two weeks. It was absolutely fine started fine, the crap manifold the previous owner put on cracked and then split, i then came out the next morning to start it and it struggled to start, would only run on its own power, as soon as you gave it throttle it tried to die after 3 - 5 mins it's fine. I stopped driving it after this. I've now replaced with a Zisco (which the gasket hasn't seated and is still blowing). and still has the starting problem. also the engine management came on When the manifold split I guessed it was the O2 Sensor. Help would be appreciated as I'm

someone must have a idea?
-
anybody know what the problem could be?
-
it only does it from cold, as soon as it's warm turns first time on the key. like it used to. But I'll check them.
-
Obviously checked the Bulb lol.

Thanks mate apreciate it, erm but of a silly one but my interior reading light has stopped working, don't think it's the fuse as everything else is still working??.
-
is that sarcasm or is it genuine? I'm a starlet noob....sorry.
-
Thanks. Just happy she's running right, the manifold I bought the car cracked and bought a zisco and fitted it obviously had no boost leakage so was a different reading.
-
Yeah it is -_▪..... cheers. At least it's running right. First Turbo so I was worried. We literally just unplugged every sensor and vacuum hose and can't find where the apexi is plugged into.....unplugged the apexi plug was still running and reading??.

ok mate thanks for replying.
