  1. yeah but this chappy replied saying the police can't access your insurance details and he does insure his as a na and in his build thread a few months back said he were going to do it then when he got stick said noo im going to insure my mods but of course clever cloggse there posted the night he posted this saying the complete opposite lol.

    Mines is insured as a turbo so piss one seriously! One reason I fucking hate this site full of people who think they know everything about other peoes business

  2. td05-16g from an impreza can flow upto 320-340 on a 4e, but all down to a decent ECU and a good map.

    at 1.5bar on a td05 you should with a okish tune see from 290 to 300bhp area..

    but td05s can run 1.7 if you want a power figure, and then ran a little less boost on road for turbo reliability. What's difference between 16g and 18g?

    1.5 is good boost for a td05, 1.2bar is minimum it likes otherwise you may as well go smaller turbo..

    Was rather laggy though, I did a fith gear pull from 30 against my mate's vxr over a mile and he nailed me simply because of lag BUT when it kicks in Oushh it was good.

    Needless to say I'm a lag whore

Right I currently have a fully forged 5e 550cc injectors standard inlet mani fmic I have a choice of two ecus a ks rom one or a emanage ultimate thinking of running ks full 3inch turbo back exhaust walbro 225 pump and I need opinions on what's td05 to run, what's the difference between all the different td05s 18g 16g ect? Car will be a fast road set up with maybe some track use and what sort of power will I run when mapped? Engine in my mates ran 319 at the wheels on a vf set up thanks

  4. ive ran a 5e td05 16g for over 5 years, before that i went through a td04 and 2 vf28's which was FAR better for a fast road car but as i track mine ive since gone td05-20g.

    I'm going down the same route I have a fully forged 5e and was going to go td05 then the vfs caught my eye? Is a td05 not only capable of 290ish? Before the turbo starts stressing?

  5. I'm looking for some help to get my car thru an mot.

    I've done a tonne of work to it including fitting all new brakes a new temp sensor and wiring

    a new lammda and wiring

    and also oil pressure switch and wiring.

    I've fitted a cat, a new radiator and I've relocated the filter.

    It's also had new plugs and plug leads and a new coil lead, and a working pcv valve fitted.

    My problem is the car has failed the fast idle test (only just) its 0.4 and needs to be 0.3 to pass, I had my local mobile tune up guy out this morning and he reduced the emissions from 0.5 to 0.4. He said that the lamda is working and speaking to the ecu controlling the fueling but he couldn't lower the emissions any more as the ecu was working against him, the adjustments he made, made no difference to the co2 output.

    The lamda and the hydrocarbons are fine suggesting the cat is not working properly.

    I'm not overly bothered about this as it's literally only just out.

    The car doesn't boost properly either it stops making power at 4000rpm or above,

    it seems to boost from 2700-4000rpm then looses boost and coughs and splutters I've adjusted the fuel pressure up and down on the fpr, it's currently 2.5 bar I've also adjusted the boost on the actuator which has had little or no affect overall.

    It seems to be boosting between 0.5bar-0.9bar on the gauge,it goes very well when cold and very well when hot and goes well off boost but acts as if its got a boost leak somewhere but it doesn't sound like its leaking boost, I'm now struggling to work out what's wrong.

    The cars been off road for near 3 yrs and there's approx 20 miles on a brand new built engine its had new pistons crank and rods.

    Because it won't boost properly I can't get a good run in it to get any sort of decent heat in the cat.

    I'm about to fit a new knock sensor as soon as it arrives, got a flash code this morning (no 52) knock sensor.

    Is there anybody local willing to have a look for me?

    I've got plenty tools and a dry garage and would appreciate help from someone with a little more knowledge than myself. Failing that ill need to trailer it or tow it to my local tuner checkpoint garage in Arbroath as its not taxed or mot'd yet.
