  1. I will clean your car one day man. Give it some harley
  2. Believed to have gotten greasy and slips like fuck now. Been gradually getting worse over the last week so i'm going to replace it. How much do these cost from Toyota? And how hard of a job is it to fit?
  3. Ok.. tried the chalk method, worked for all of 4 hours. Now come back worse than ever, now 3rd gear is effected and turning corners is attrocious hot or cold. Gonna get a new alternator belt from Toyota tomorrow - is it a hard job to fit the alternator belt?
  4. YAYS a 98spec! Colourcoded silver will be more win than black lip mate! And think about this while your rubbing it down.. I've polished that bumper
  5. Wicked progress mate, alot of win here! Keep up the momentum!
  6. To be fair, its got a dead engine, so needs a new one. To someone willing for a project its in the range of £100-200. Bearing in mind you can pick up a well running relatively low mileage (meaning below 100k) Paseo for about £600 these days.
  7. Sure Katy no problem. Bearing in mind i'm organising and i'm in a Paseo.. Come on guys, lets make it worth the travel. Me and Katy are heading up from Taunton and Bridgwater so were not all that close.
  8. Haha, talking of which bud, breaker Paseo in weston has gone So didn't manage to collect the bumper and that bracket for you so might have to make do with the one in Gloucester.
  9. I do... why Steed?
  10. And how much are you asking bro?
  11. Nice place for it Si, still haven't cleaned the bloody car though!
  12. 4 2 in the car, 2 in the garage somewhere
  13. I believe they call them Dash Matts. I actually like them, does it remove the glare well? Love this car, but you need some depth such as a splitter of some sort, subtle one but still a tad bit of depth to add to the cause. Get the eyebrows back on too!
  14. How much has it cost you roughly to replace all these bolts with the clean ones? And also will you be making bonnet raisers for your stock? If so I may take a set in anodised pink.. Really your attention to detail is great, considering you were going the wrong way about modifying cars from the first Starlet !!
  15. No definately alternator - I just took it for a spin to the bottom of my road and it didn't whistle but when I put the lights on and went for another spin, it whistled like hell. Then, while moving I turned them off, and it stopped immediately. Its to do with the alternator. Il tighten the belt slightly as I fear it was me spraying megs detailer on the metal work that made it greasy, hence slipping slightly while having more going through it.
  16. I had noticed a bit worse at night (lights and heated rear screen).. Will give it a test tomorrow.
  17. Really starting to piss me off now. Heres a big rant and list of possibilities. Situation: The last 2/3 days I have really noticed a very high pitched whistle from my car. I located it at the front near side wheel area. But everyone jumps at fan belt. Possibility 1: Fan belt, could well have a bit of grease on it from when I used megs quick detailer on my engine bay (where the ABS would sit on an Si model, I have a gap with a metal 'bench' sort of thing - I wiped it down with megs detailer and an MF cloth so could just be grease? How long would this take to bugger off? Possibilty 2: Both me and my girlfriend can hear it on the near side front wheel area. My hearing isn't amazing and I am hearing it all the time but she doesn't - it is now ringing through my ears. When I took her home tonight it screamed out of my cul-de-sac in first gear at around 2.5k revs. When cold, it does it while stationary and while reversing - it didn't at first. Possibilty 3: Sticky Caliper? I drove up to Weston yesterday (60-70 mile round trip) and when I left at around 10am it didn't whistle, when leaving the breakers it didn't whistle, I came home to pick up my mate and then drove into town, turned out of my road and onto a hill and it felt like the steering was pulling to the left (towards near side) which makes me think it could be something to do with that wheel. If I nudge the steering to the right in a straight line it corrects abbruptly, if I nudge to the left, it doesn't correct well. Thing is, if it is a sticky caliper, it would slow me down quicker and i'd feel driving against the brakes all the time, and it still rolls when I have the clutch in but no brakes on. Its starting to really piss me off now, anyone had similar problems which have been located and sorted? Sam
  18. Soundo Ash, and il get the shots up tomorrow I promise, should have a few updates lined up for the car anywhos

  21. OOh, whats that I see? Sweet F-A is what I see!! PICS man PICS! I need a sexwee tonight.
  22. As said, we have a wide range of traders here to provide you with a better service and product than you would recieve from an ebay special. I believe there was someone here who had bought one prviously and it was blowing in 3 places? Could be wrong but yeah, not amazing products from eBay. Save up and buy yourself a high end product and it will last longer than "oh not enough money so will buy the cheapie". Cheapies die quicker = spending money again, and again, and again.
  23. Where do you live? Pics of the car?
  24. Hmm.. tough cookie this. Have you thought about maybe a 106 or 205? Lightweight, plenty of tuning parts available, cheap and easy to throw into corners.
  25. O'rly?
