  1. Just looking for ideas here really. I had planned on getting a Pioneer appradio so I could keep an eye on the maps etc while I stream music but reading the reviews it doesn't sound perfect. I'll have the s4 mounted on the window then have it streaming audio through Bluetooth to the headunit. Ideas folks?
  2. How much should I be paying for this? Lad who sold me the kit said theyre 30 dabs new...
  3. Bought a kit off glanza_man without this piece....anyone any ideas? Cheers!
  4. Cheers man, i'll be on this for days now, plenty of great bits!
  5. I'd guess the keys aren't coded, my glanza was imported with a single bare metal key. I'm hoping I can just buy a few spare blanks and get em cut without the need for a code??
  6. Where do you get them though? I've tried looking on eBay and Google and all you get is cheesy "JDM AS FUCK VTEC KICKED IN YO" license plates. Can find the actual black plastic surrounds
  7. Yeah I'd second the lanyard idea. I used to be the same mate until I got a lanyard and purposefully attached a LOAD of keyrings and shit to it. Now the keys are looped through a belt loop and are so bulky you'd know of you dropped em.
  8. Basically I've found on the t'interweb that JDM plates are 13"x6.5" and US/CAN plates are 12"x6". At the moment my rear plate is held on with a single bolt, which is stupid. We don't need front plates which is cool. Because the Canadian plates are smaller I want to get on of those plastic plate surrounds with holes to suit thearger JDM plates then stick the Canadian plate to that mount with adhesive. I can't drill new holes as that's against bylaw out here.
  9. Haha, I'm from Ireland and can say they're considerably worse, although -38c will do that!
  10. Anyone know what the BC's ride like? The roads here are awful (6" deep pot holes and huge patches of random tarmac) so I'd need something quite soft.
  11. Its not unfortunately, but its a stunner. No more pics sorry. Had a few rotten bugs, Eaton charged polo g40, breadie, shrick tuned mk3 vr6, mk2 driver etc. Hard to beat a good VW but they seemingly don't dig them here in flappyhead Canada so I had to go jap! Anyways, yeah I'm tempted by the Meister's, I wouldnt be approved credit and wouldn't need it but by the time I get them shipped it would be over 800 quid. Found a place in US that does BC racing coils for 600 delivered. Can't see me beating that.
  12. Ideally looking something more complete lad, thanks though. Keep em coming lad, getting dangerously close to ordering new bc's from Idworkz.
  13. I'd say you'd be correct kavan. Cheers for the helps lads.
  14. Ha! Cheers bud, they're my favorite wheels and there's literally NO VW scene in Canada so I thought I'd just try em on the glanza see how they look. OK, so this may be a stupid question, but if I do decide to get a matching seat, does it have to be the passenger side? I've a feeling getting one of these seats is going to be extremely expensive, seen ek type r seats go for a grand out here.
  15. Yeah that was my thinking. I'm used to older VW's where you could get a cheap set for 200 brand new.
  16. Looking for the above. Must be in exceptional condition (as close to new as possible) and a decent brand. Cheers.
  17. So my Glanza just got to me here in Canada from Japan, and it's immaculate on the outside but some idiot changed out the drivers seat after playing musical farts on it for a few years. It's an old recaro from an unknown source bolted to Recaro rails. I had originally wanted to just throw it out, but after a few drives it's seemingly the most comfortable seat i've ever driven in. If i can source a passenger side one that matches, i'll just pick one up and get them retrimmed with the rears to match. Anyways here are the photo's...
  18. Bought an ECU from Jordan, item was described and fast shipping (to canada!). Good lad, buy with confidence
  19. Aaah brilliant! That's an idea, thank you very much sir!
  20. I'm aware that the glanza shares some bits with the Toyota Tercel, and with it being a USDM car it will be much easier for me sourcing bits when I'm out here in flappy head Canada. I'm needing an oil filter, sump plug, coilovers and future brakes too I'm sure. What can I use? Cheers lads.
  21. Lol I would say shipping wouldn't be too handy right enough, paid 80 dabs to have a FMIC sent out! Thank you for the help guys, I'm dropping off the wheels to the JDM importer tomorrow so I'll get him to put them on for me. Shouldn't be too expensive, tires seem cheaper here than they were at home in UK, perhaps due to the proximity to the oil fields. Cheers!
  22. Yeah I knew that about the Nitrogen, just made me chuckle! Cheers sir ill try and track down a set of those for tomorrow!
  23. Trying to get tires today, and the doucher in Canadian Tire tried to sell me 185x70 R15's because the wheels on the car at the moment are 185x60 R14's and this would be a "very close match", either I'm missing something or he hasn't a clue. Also told me that he would fill them with Nitrogen as this helps "clean the wheels". Anyways, they're 15x7 ET28 and I want it slammed. Cheer for any help!
  24. Really good lad, willing to post to Canada which can be a pain in the ass. Thanks again for all the help chief.
