  1. Won't take more than 1 hour if everything comes off,disconnect oil feed/return and waterlines,disconnect your downpipe from the exhaust side and remove your manifold bolts,should be 6 of them
  2. Where can I get studs from the turbo to downpipe and studs for the intercooler to turbo? Tried toyota and they are useless,don't even know what a glanza was!
  3. Is the 4th picture down in your build thread Arden blue aswel?it seems a bit darker than the 3rd photo

  5. Anybody sprayed there's a skyline bayside blue colour or similar?i just sprayed mine "seat imperial blue" however it's came out a lot darker than expected! Thinking about trying Arden blue now, if anybody has any photos please feel free to upload
  6. I tried a thing called pickling,some shit that welders use and even it didn't work!i will pick up some gasket remover tomorrow n see if that will do the trick,does anybody know of a real sexy candy blue colour?
  7. Not sure if this is the right section but what's the tired and tested methods of cleaning the rocker cover before spraying,what acids,products apart from wet n dry and elbow grease? I'm thinking about using the old coca cola trick!
  8. Sorry guys what do you mean by penny?no idea what spring is in but it's holding boost at 16-18 psi,and yeah my boost is dropping off at the top of the rev range,just done a check and there is no boost leaks what so ever
  9. Very very slight play on the turbo shaft but nothing to worry about,my air filter is straight onto the turbo inlet,so the car should cut out?if not it's a boost leak correct?
  10. Haven't got a dump valve on either,pretty sure all gaskets are ok but I'm going to strip it and put new gaskets in,what u mean boost gauge?guessing you mean spooling time?peaks at about 17psi but only starts spooling up about 2.8 revs and struggles untill higher revs
  11. As far as I know yes,was done when I bought the car and as far as I know the only main thing still to be done was the electronic boost controller,but I can't see the boost controller bringing the spool up time down that much?

Running a CT9 hybrid with supporting mods.its all been mapped,no leaks anywhere as far as I know and only thing left to do is electronic boost controller, as for spool up it's painfully slow, starts spooling about 2.8 - 3.4 k revs and hits full boost at about 4.7 - 5.0 k revs at about 16 - 18 psi roughly. There is no actuator as I have an external waste gate which the diaphragm is fine and the correct springs are in,anybody else had this problem?
  13. Already checked Colin,I just changed the springs on the waste gate and the diaphragm was fine!
  14. Starts spooling about 3k and is about 16-18 psi by 4.8 - 5k
  15. Defo no leaks Colin,any where on these cars prone to leak if so I will double check,it's defo a tongs ct9 hybrid aswel
  16. No boost leaks atall and just changed the waste gate springs!guess I will have to try the boost controller,any guides to that?lol
  17. Both already been done,it's not hitting full boost untill 5k it's driving me crazy
  18. So how the hell do I get the thing to spool up quicker?apart from boost controller?
  19. I would have done a formal introduction however my head is pickled with this bloody car!😂
