  1. hello gents. just to say mine is a track car. mine is a bare shell EP82 Advanced. im involved with sprint racing. because its a turbo it is in the 1401cc to 2000cc catorgry. i normally race against the likes of vts, 1800 xr3i, an old morgan, a bmw mini thing, pug 307 touring car which is the only thng thats beats me!!!! grrr its very much away from the standard car pushing just under 200bhp at the wheels with 187lbs torque and in a car that weighs 714kgs (been on weigh bridge) it seems to work VERY well!!!! the best thing, Ive managed to keep her road legal!!!!
  2. i now use my starlet for sprint racing so ill do anything to try and release some stolen bhps! ive taken all the ac off mine. yes it is lighter once the pump, pipes and radiator are all off i was suprised to feel how heavy they all were. i say you loosing the weight of a big battery doing so! once off i put a belt back on for my power steering. even if the ac isnt on the belt still has to turn the pump so it does free up a few bhp. the biggest difference is the fact that without the ac rad in the front, the car now runs alot cooler which really helps performance!
  3. i work at supertyres in maldon essex (www.super-tyres.co.uk) and all i do all day everyday is alignments! camber helps cornering, the more neg the better it will do so. my ep82 adv is now set to -1degree. caster helps maintain straight line stability. this is fixed just make sure it is fairly even! toe is where the compromise is. toe out will distroy the outside edges but give much faster turning into corners. toe in will be slower cornering but much kinder to your tyres. the rear is all fixed! however what i would recomend is -1.30 neg camber. and the toe set to about parallel! again

  5. your not wrong buy saying that southend is full of chavs. but its them novas and corsas that make us feel even better about our cars. i normally go down the front most weeks though i tend to keep a low profile. if you go to the 'halfway house' pub along the a127 thats where the fun is. they normally have scooby meets there and everyone likes to put the hammer down!!
  6. being round southend everyone wants to race. ive got into the great habbit of turnng up at scooby meets. a couple of my mates have wrx of some form they can never shake me off their tail. its only them i ever chase but with everyone alse watching it gives my car a fantastic rep, not to mention the smile on my face!!!

  8. id go with getting the car mint and when you think you can afford turbo power go for something a bit differnt still. prehaps 2litre turbo mr2 lump. ive seen a couple of starbos like that one with about 500 bhp!! plus judging by the way your motor looks at the mo your very keen on looks so my guess youll only do it again to the next one! so your alredy half way there now!! dru
  9. i drive an imported ep 82 advanced and thats down as group 14 insurance!
  10. yeah performance has improved 10fold. best noticed when accelerating!
  11. websport 5spokes in matt black with silver rim with 185/50/14 yokos stage 1 head work with group A head gasket, trd cooling system and dump valve, hks mushroom induction, adjustable uprated lower and harder springs and shocks, green stuff front pads, decat zorst, LSD and i run her on nothing less than optimax and millers octance booster!

  13. when i bought my digi camera i thought it was quite smart. but in fact its saves pics as files so bloody big i have to hack them apart to upload them. however after all that messing about her she is. this is how i first bought her. i have since lost the 17s for lightweight 14s. also style wise, love em or hate em i put some of the dem big rally styleee mud flaps. they are more pratical than style as i live down a dirt track! she not standard and i quite keen to get her up against a clock!
