cheers guys,have a catch can i can use so will sort something out. another quick question have found an adjustable valve on the back of the inlet manifold.Any ideas lol??

cool nice one mate,did you replace it with a new one or just take it away? thinking this be my cheapest option to start with!!

If it is turbo what a good option to go for?recon,new or hybrid maybe? gonna track her so want reliability but gonna keep her standard setup for this year then decide whether to step her up a level next year.

normally valve stems smoke on start up from cold but nothing at all,its defo oil as its bluey and you can smell it! hoping not rings as its not there all the time only now and again so thinking oil seal in turbo on its way out. didnt know if pcv valve would drop some oil into inlet if knackered??

Hi again,looking for some advise and maybe some cofirmation on what i believe to be a turbo issue. Car has been running fine until a few days ago when at a set of lights i noticed smoke from the exhaust. Car still running fine and have pulled it into my garage between jobs to take off intercooler and pipe work. Too my surprise ic pipes and throttle body are oil free so could it possibly be the pcv or obviously the turbo!! the issue so far only seems to occur when engine is hot and is not consistent or when engine is cold. its defo oil as can smell it and had turbo blow on my renault 5 a f

next job is a decat next week followed by removing the air con then hopefully a fmic! if anyone breaking an ep82 am needing a drivers sun visor in dark grey as mine is totally shot!just out of interest anyone removed air con for track use and has it made a lot of difference??

lol tell me bout it mate,its a sort of marmite gear knob thing, bought it on a spur of madness!! its actually growning on me but prob gonna change it next year when track days start up but for now sticking with it.But yeah was really lucky to find her and was surprised how clean she was when went to see her, she has had a bit of elbow grease put onto her tho!!!

Hi looking for some advise again guys. Looking to decat the GT and wondered is it a straight forward job, as in does it need anything readjusting such as fuelling etc or is it a bolt on and forget??Also does standard lambda in decat work ok?? Many thanks again for any advise!! Andrew.

hi looking for a drivers side sun visor for my mk1 GT in a darkish grey!looks like the pivot has seized at some time and its been forced down breaking and tearing the visor!many thanks for any replies. Andrew

should it be clicking continuously? that surprises me to be honest most of the control valves ive dealt with through work make a lot of difference when unplugged!

on bit of a tangent guys but have wat looks like a solenoid or valve on the end of the inlet manifold(opposite end to the throttle) that seems to be clicking quite loudly,when i unplug it the clicking stops but nothing seems to happen to the engine!is this normal?

does this mean that if she a little rare i shouldnt mess with her too much lol? not sure how that gonna work tho!
