Just wondering if there is a specific seal for the front windscreen or what seal to get/use? Getting the window removed so I can clean up a small bit of surface rust so would like to get a nice new seal for it. Cheers Craig

ewg with electronic boost controller
Craigtrials95 replied to Craigtrials95's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Cheers lads vf035 turbo so probably go for a 0.8 bar spring -
Going to be running externally gated setup on my 5e once its built and ive never had an external setup before so after some info. If i get a wastegate with say a 0.8 bar spring i can then up the boost to 1.0 bar and 1.4 bar with an electronic boost controller? Thats my understanding anyway just want to make sure its correct Cheers Craig

I'll probably just loop my rack and see how it feels if not try source a non pas rack. Does it need to be secured or high pressure hose to loop the rack?
-
How is the steering feel with the rack looped? Is it easy enough for a weekend toy and track day car? Could still be an option yet
-
Cheers lads. Just want it switchable really for manevouring the car and have it off for fast road and track. Surely the steering feel is better when the pump is off? My pump has the built in reservoir too so feels like it will be a tight fit
-
Cheers. Yeah that's where I've roughly planned in mounting it. The filler neck of bottle fits through where the abs pump sits. But the fittings for feed get in the way off chassis leg
-
After some help and advice with the electric power steering pump from a saxo. First off where have people mounted the pump unit and any photos? How have you wired it in? Ideally I'd like mine on a switch so I can shut it off Cheers Craig

Looking for people's opinions on a flywheel. My engine is off to get built Monday 15th of this month and it would be ideal to get the clutch and flywheel balanced at the same time. Fully forged 5e and hoping to be fit for 350bhp. Will the standard flywheel be ok or will I need to look into a better one? Also what clutch would people recommend Cheers Craig

Hey, I'm going to be running 282 8mm lift tmd cams in a 5e. Just wondering what's the best uprated springs to buy and is there stronger valves etc? Rev limiter will be getting raised too Cheers Craig
-
Spot on mate I've had a look on his thread and gave him a message cheers
-
How does the ecumasters emu wire into the starlet I'm guessing it won't be plug and play?
-
Wanting 350bhp roughly. Had a read that tmd built a few 300bhp starlets running the dastek unichip. It's either keep that or save for standalone. I was looking at the dta ecus
-
Not 100% on management yet. Currently got a dastek unichip in the car at 200bhp and I've read this ecu can cope with over 300 so might stick with it but not sure if it allows to extend the limiter?
-
That's the main reason I wanted aggressive cams hahaha. Can't beat the noise of cams
-
Any information on these cams I have I believe they are ivan tighe 282 cams with 8mm lift they have never been used. Planning running around 350bhp on a 5e so just wondering if these are worth the head work and any advantages etc? Cheers Craig

After metal anti roll bar bush holder. Need posted to Scotland Cheers

Cheers, was planning buying an earth kit so was just seeing if there would be any benefit to a voltage stabilizer too
-
Anyone ever used a voltage stabilizer on a starlet? D1 spec one goes for £35 wondering if its worth it Cheers
-
Looked over this at least 20 times and I'm sure them hoses are correct. I also done the water pump when the engine was out of the car if that could be anything related?
-
excellent mate, ill have a look over it this week and get back to yous
-
any idea what way they are supposed to be? or do i need to just trace them back? i also changed the water pump on the engine whilst it was out
