  1. I'm trying to make a solidworks (CNC) model for a 2E exhaust flange for custom headers, I have the gaskets for dimensions but I need this measurement: If someone with easy access to the head or the heatshield could measure this and tell me, it would be great (distance between the exhaust ports) I'm thinking about something like this for the flange but I need the correct measurement for the reinforcement in the middle: This design might be easier to make: EDIT: Done a rough prototype, no exact dimensions yet:
  2. So, I'm toying with the idea of swapping a 1E with a 2E as I can find them for like 300€ with everything, What I've been able to find is that the 2E dizzy has a built in coil and needs to be wired but apart from that, is it just plug and play? Also, the 2E will have bike carbs, found a cheap set of good condition carbs ^^
  3. Hey guys, came across this ad while looking for engines, what is this engine? Is it a 4E? It's from a corolla E90 1987-1991, aren't the 4E-F's rare as f...?
  4. If I want to use the 2E dizzy, is it just a matter of wiring +12V ignition and ground?
  5. So, I bought a nice set of 4 widened steelies for 150€ to fit in an EP70, they're 14x6, the car will have 40mm lowering springs, what would be the best tire option and will I run into any issues? Here are the rims by the way:
  6. So, if I want to swap a 1E with a 2E, can I use the 1E dizzy so I don't have to remove the coil and all that from the stock EP70 ignition ? Does it work? If not, does the 2E dizzy have a built in coil and is it just a matter of wiring 12V ignition and ground and connect the existing wires to the condenser?
  7. That would be a good idea but could I use a 4e-fte distributor and use the coil that is already in the ep70? And how did those guys do it then... If it's too difficult I migh aswell get a 2E as it is a straight swap in the EP70 (correct me if I'm wrong) and bike carb it, the car will be a test platform anyways and not a daily driver x)
  8. So, I was checking but there is little to no information on the 1E, I'd like to know where these are located and if somehow I can rewire a 4E-FE speed and temp sensor to work with the EP70 cluster (the car wil be running a bike carbed 4E so no ECU at all)
  9. Sorry about that, idk how that happened xD
  10. So, I found this 4E-FE distributor diagram on another forum: If I want to run the 4E-FE with carbs in an EP70, do I have to wire (1-white) to a 12V ignition switch and ground the wire (3-yellow)?The white wire is marked in the ecu pinout as ignition timing, yellow is ignition feedback, green wire is RPM signal and the blue wire is something for the ECU, but since I won't be using the ECU I'll just leave it... Is this correct?
  11. Hi, I'm Pedro, I'm from France and I'm soon getting my first car! (Wohoo) it'll be an EP70 (crappy 1E but I have plans for it ) it will not be a daily, it will stay in my home country (in a garage) so I can have fun there and do some work on it during the holidays, I plan on getting a 4E-FE, convert it to carb (4E-F) and fit some CBR900RR carbs (always wanted to do it *-*). I'm gathering the most information I can before tackling this job so I won't run into problems, hence my registration on the forum, I already got a lot of info but I need to ask some things xD
