  1. Just had a little rummage is this the bit your after, its a bit dirty but should work fine I dont want any money for it anyway mate. Came across another spare gearbox too that I forgot about lol so if anyone wants a box from an ep82 let me know ill do it really cheap as I need the space, but it crunches when cold into second gear.
  2. I've removed one of these before it was so tight there was no way it was going to come out from the outside of the box (well it may of done but I didnt want to break anything). I removed and split the gearbox then tapped it out from the inside, I had to remove the box anyway to do a clutch it wasnt to much bother. I think I have a spare one in my box of goodies if you need it Ill go and have a look.
  3. Just trying to pm you mate about the bottom end as I've just returned from holiday. thanks Dan
  4. I'm doing my test in 3 weeks time doing direct access costing me 700 passed the theory which cost 31 and cbt which was 120 sold my starlet to fund for a gsxr can't wait to get it. I've had a go on a few bikes off road totally different to a car. As you can't fall off a car lol.
  5. Check the wire going to the oil pressure switch may have rubbed through somewhere if it earths out on the block it will bring the light on that would explain why it does it randomly.
  6. I'm running a electro hydraulic pump from a puegot, saxo also use them made up a bracket and pipes it works fine gives more room by the turbo also able turn it on or off using a switch
  7. I always get worried if I dont drive my car to work and leave it outside my house as my neighbours RS turbo was put on the back of a low loaded in the middle of the day never to be seen again. If my cars gonna be left outside my house for a few days I chain it to the lamp post, extreme but makes it harder for them to take it lol.
  8. You are restricted with what you can adjust with the ECU you have, the only way I can see you being able to do what you want is fitting something like a bee r rev limiter and have your pops, bangs & flames that way, or sell that ecu and buy something which you can map like emanage or some sort of standalone fuel management system if you have a fair bit of cash lol.
  9. You need to make sure that you set up the ignition timing properly to 10degrees before TDC using a timing gun and be sure to have the car in diagnostic mode (te1 & e1 bridged), if you advance the ignition timing to much you can cause det which can create damage to the engine, like cracking pistons, if you have it to retarded you will lose power and response.
  10. Ill be down there at about 10.30 eric, jack might be coming down too, he needs to put some miles on his engine to run it in.
  11. Sometimes you get codes come up without the management light triggering. Its definetly worth a check as it doesnt cost nothing, & all thats needed is something like a paper clip or a bit of wire to bridge over 2 terminals (te1 & e1). If a code does come up then it will point you in the right direction, rather than just spending money on changing parts that properly worked perfectly fine. But from what andrew miller has described above, I would go with what taggy said about the ignition timing. Sounds like its too retarded which is causing this problem & when he had the timing bel
  12. You done a diagnostics test to check any trouble codes?
  13. You could take it for a thrash but it won't help at all but may cause more damage like scoring the cylinder as it sounds like the ringlands cracked which is pretty common. probably due to the hks fcd and fueling not being correct perhaps the owner before ran more boost to.as you said drop some oil down cylinder one see if it raises if so definetly cracked piston.
  14. Yes thats correct. Are you fitting an oil cooler or filter relocation kit then.
  15. If the PCV valve keeps popping out it must have a bit of pressure behind it which does sound like you've cracked a piston, let us no the results of the compression test. It can be expensive if you take it to a garage but you should strip it down yourself and give it a go. If you get stuck or need a hand people on will be more than happy to help. What mods is the car running
