  1. 1998 Toyota Starlet SR 1.6 4AGE
currently the car is running a JDM 1.6 4AGE 20v at around 170bhp, rapid little car, due to weighing next to nothing. only ever been run on super unleaded, well looked after, anything its needed has been done with as many genuine parts as i could get. had new rear wheel bearings less than 3 months ago. cambelt done less than 6 months ago. Anyone who knows of the 20v Blacktop version of the 4AGE engine will know how rare they are in this country and what an excellent engine they are. The engine was imported with the gearbox by Fensport.

-Fully under sealed as soon as i became the owner

    Interior-
    -Glanza front interior

    Exterior-
    -Glanza rear bumper
    -OEM SR stickers
-all other body work is Stock SR

MOT is only until 30th Jan 2018, im aware its short and if it hasnt sold il put a new one on it, only thing it would need for the MOT is a Horn, as at some point its been removed but if i get the chance il put one on it.

think Ive covered most of it but im sure theres the odd few bits ive missed, any questions feel free to ask! not sure exactly how to price as as far as im aware its 1 of 2 in the UK with a 20v. the car has also been a feature in Banzai in 2009 which i have pictures of as well. lots of history. ive got a collection of other performance parts with it, TOMS light weight flywheel, spare shocks and springs, spare speedline wheels. the car isnt perfect, bonnet has a little laquer peel where a previous owner removed a sticker, and the rear bumper has some laquer peel about the size of a 50p, other than that its just the odd stone chips. would prefer it sold to someone on here rather than to some animal on ebay who will kill it. Thanks

*car is located on the Isle of Wight*

    Looking for around 3400 ono

  2. well due to a change of circumstances and plans, i unfortunately cant keep the car :( so this will be coming up for sale in the near future, if anyone is interested before i make an official advert for it drop me a message.

  3. had a play with the exhaust the other day, cut the silencer out and welded in the straight piece, didnt make it any louder either which is nice. knocks on the rear beam now though so il have to have another fiddle with the angles etc to get it all right. going to be slowing up on the build for a month or so while i get another vehicle sorted for when it comes off the road to be rebuilt.

  4. yea haha think at some point its all been put together from loads of odd parts, still got stock cat and downpipe section on it too, il look in a minute, going to try to wire in the tacho today. any idea what colour the signal wire is?

  5. its not a HKS system :( had it on the ramp at work to do some little tweeks as the exhaust is knocking like hell, back box is Jasma, centre box is a Cobra one, and then theres an unbranded one next to it :( so have to decide on the exhaust as to what i do. yea im going to get a cage ordered, not risking having something life changing because i was being a dick in a small car

  6. think keeping my foot in it was all that kept it on the road! as Flynn will be able to back up the islands roads are far from any good, and driving like a dick in the dark on tight b roads was kind of a stupid choice, oops.

  7. so after going out for a drive the other night now the coilovers have settled a little bit I've decided i need a cage as the next big spend, after having a 'scare' while playing with an MR2 and MX5. pleased i have the coilovers and the bracing in the back, because im pretty sure id either not be here or the car would have been destroyed. so big thumbs up to Yellow Speed and Zisco!

  8. went out this evening to get some miles on the coilovers and have a nice drive, cant believe the difference in coilovers vs springs, night and day difference! was able to hold it in corners that before i'd be backing right off in before! but anyway got shit loads of pictures so enjoy the potato phone quality picture spam :D

  9. coilovers finally arrived this morning! so got them straight on! ended up getting Yellow Speed Racing ones, as they were with the price i wanted and at the time was the fastest delivery... until it took 3 weeks but never mind. got them all fitted, fairly level, little higher at the front to allow for it to settle down. going to get her tracked at the end of the week to allow some settle time. from what I've driven so far, pretty impressed by Yellow speed, not much more bumpy than springs and feels a lot more stable, il get some pictures up soon :)

  10. they were noisy when i bought it so replaced them sunday, yea looked up all the torque settings, 30nm for the hubnut then cap and lock pin :) so made sure it was all done properly. did think its probably been to tight, did have to put a bar on it to undo them so reckon that was a large part of the excessive wear

  11. so as some of you know the car never made it to Simply Jap :( coilovers never turned up on time (still not here!) so couldnt get the suspension sorted out in time to go, did get my rear wheel bearings done yesterday though on the upside, glad i didnt try to risk driving up as the NSR bearing sounded horrible, took it ll appart and found rather large lumps of metal and shavings inside the bearing case and the grease, and it was going blue, il get a picture up later on, but it wasnt in a good way! so for the minute waiting for my coilovers to arrive so i can fit them, then its just a case of ordering the last few bits for the engine and some other supporting bits like cage and levin brakes
