so my swede lowering springs turned up! as did my fancy open ended spanners, couldnt work out why the parcel was so heavy until i saw the size of the springs! took one out the box and put it next to the car so you can see how big they are! hopefully fitting them on tuesday with a mate!

  2. I tired to bring myself to sell it once but don't think I can :) I like it to much, it's only done 90,000 in 28 years! Which isn't to bad to be fair, and only had small bits of rust considering it's lived by the coast it's whole life!

  3. well unfortunately my original idea of a jap powered Volvo went out the window after i called up my insurance and said they wont insure it with a different engine until im 25 -_- so for the minute its going to be having some little changes until i can get hold of a larger Volvo engine to swap in such as a T5 or V70 20V engine. so far shes standard and all I've got done are repairs, namely the two rust patches on the OSF and NSF sills. repaired the wipers for the headlights, replaced the hosed for the washers as they has rotted, repaired the drivers door hinges as the door was hanging down about 20mm when it was open and you had to lift it back up to close it!

Other than that im not moving onto mods! so ordered some lowering springs to drop her 40mm as shes currently a 4X4 and rides like a boat in choppy water! going to be making a straight pipe with a side exit, and changing the standard wheels for some nice black 5 spokes hopefully!

(could an admin please delete my previous 'Jap powered volvo' thread as im no longer going to be using it. thanks :) )

  4. Gave the car a good polish and clean inside and out as the car is getting parked in a crap space at work -.- so keeps getting dirty and muddy. Also was pleased to hear that my younger brother is coming up to his school prom this coming Friday and I offered him a mates skyline and he said he wanted to go with me in the starlet :D so will be getting a concourse effort clean before then!! Very round brother ;) make a starlet owner of him yet!

  5. so got some paint onto the pillar pod now! have something a little interesting planned to match the rocker cover design, also managed to do the incredible and trap the keys inside my steering cowling -_- dont ask how it happened it just happened when driving some how...

  6. Got it a little better fitment now after Some sanding and rubbing back in my lunch break at work, still doesn't fit great but think il just have to live with that tbh :/ finished off sanding and made sure the gauge fitted the hole, got a coat of primer on it too so that's going to dry over night, the hopefully Il set my alarm early and rub it back and get another coat on tomorrow morning before work!

  7. Got it from idworkz, but had issues getting it posted etc, but after looking at it and trimming one edge its not as bad as it first looked, just needed to sit it abit higher up on the pillar. So hopefully be getting it all painted at work this week!!

  8. Made some adjustments today, if I lift it up 5-10mm it fits abit better, so think il do that, may need to add some fibreglass on too to fix any gaps. Naa haven't bothered tbh as it took 5-6 weeks to get here so don't want to send it back and have to wait again, want to get my rev counter fitted and wired in!! :D
