  2. Cheers dude! Yeah got some serious cash in it, but we all need something to keep us occupied! Should be a whole different car when it's finished Well, I guess that's some peoples opinions, though I've also heard some good things about them, so it's something I'll have to test for myself when the car comes back
  3. Thanks Colin, no plans to slow down on any sort of progress now, it's onwards and upwards from here!
  4. "Project Outlaw" is now at Tuning Developments for it's build! Exciting times ahead! :D

  5. That's fair enough dude, each to their own, some people love it, some people hate it, it was always going to divide opinions. As for the brakes, it's personal preference, I've never had any problems with EBC pads, as I'm sure many others haven't, but as with everything, it's trial and error, and finding out what works for you. I love the feel on the pedal with the combination I have now, and it's a definite improvement, so I have no complaints
  6. Update time! - The project now has a name, and is more controversial than ever! Well, it's been a while since I've updated my thread, and to be honest, I haven't done 'TOO' much! In anticipation of the rather large build from the Jones' brothers at Tuning Developments, I got on the phone to Mike and ordered a set of K-Sport brakes to replace the 'fast road' setup I was previously using. They're in a whole different league altogether, and accompanied by a set of EBC Yellowstuff pads, are much sharper! These were fitted no less than hours after they arrived, which highlighted the next issue.
  7. Nardi/Personal wheels are amazing quality! I ran the 330mm Neo Grinta on my Glanza before swapping it out for the Reverie Carbon 300mm. Size is personal preference, as is weight/shape etc. I've ran multiple cars with 300mm wheels and love the feel on the road, hence the change, but 320/330mm seems to be the most popular option. Scott. 👍🏼
  8. Haha exactly matey, it always divides opinions, but, it's what I like, and it's built by me, for me, but it's nice to see it gets appreciated for the work that's went into it at least Haha it was the first floor of the multi storey, but it's not low by all means, I'd rather have handling than extreme lows ;-)
  9. Update Time Again - New Steering Wheel and Custom Exhaust! Well, another small update, something a little 'different' this time! The car as it stands is VERY marmite, some of you will love it, some will hate it, and these next couple modifications are certainly no different! Anyway, first things first, the Personal wheel was removed, to make way for a pure carbon fibre wheel from Reverie Composites. As you can see from the scales, it is EXTREMELY light, and the smaller wheel feels tremendous to drive with, very precise and has a lovely feel, especially through the bends! We then w
  10. I got the cage from Safety Devices matey, came powder coated black, but was made overseas from their factory in Italy I believe. Took 10 weeks from ordering.
  11. For anyone who hasn't heard about it, RACEISM is a blog/forum for all types of car enthusiasts worldwide. They hold meets all over Europe, UK, Ireland etc and have a large following. Everyone nowadays has a Speedhunters/TOM's/TRD sunstrip, I wanted to set myself apart from the crowd, and so have gone and done something different (again!). It won't be to everyone's taste, but I like it, and the people understand can appreciate the play on words that is, RACEISM.
  12. Cheers mate, I love it so much more than the old one! Just looks way more aggressive and way more stealthy, a little "classier" too you could say! Thanks for the kind words 😊
  13. Update time again! The thread was due another update following a few more changes on the car, so here goes: As mentioned from my last update post, the livery was removed and the damage was sorted from the previous owner, giving me a fresh blank canvas to work with. The bonnet scoop was smoothed into the bonnet before seeing more paint too, but this is only a temporary measure until I can sort a carbon or cruise bonnet (once my bank account recovers a little that is!). So, I started throwing some ideas around for a new livery, something less "Need for Speed: Underground" and a little
  14. As per the title, looking for a carbon fibre bonnet for a Glanza. 07841027699 Thanks.
  15. Just edited the post again as for some reason the GoPro footage from my car didn't upload, all fixed now though!
  16. Thanks mate, she's getting there now! Has certainly transformed since I first got her that's for sure! Ah bugger, didn't even think about that, my bad! Yeah I see it only has around 1100kg towing capacity, rather low really, due to curb weight I'm guessing! No biggie, there's ways around that, probably see about buying a different towing rig just for use for the tracks! There's no going back now! Cheers John
  17. The bill isn't going to be the smallest that's for sure, but knowing I'll have some strength in what's known to be a weak component is very reassuring. I don't mind shelling out money for quality parts, and it's the passion that keeps me going, as I've mentioned to TimD, as soon as its complete I'll be hitting the tracks as much as possible. Thanks for the input and comments, I'll keep you all updated with how it goes! Cheers
  18. I used to have a sim setup in the house, but lack of use didn't warrant it enough, I enjoy just being out and driving way more! And I'll be getting myself a trailer as soon as I get the car finished and get a towbar on the Caddy, so that's no issue . As soon as the car is finished and I know everything is there that I need so it's reliable, I plan to do as many track days as possible, as skill only comes with experience! Thanks again for your input.
  19. I agree, more time is needed in the car, I was mainly concentrating on "getting a feel" for things, and as mentioned, it was my first track time in the car, so was very foreign to me. The line wasn't far off the line we were shown on the pace lap, though if I was to use all of the track, I don't honestly think the tyres would have held out under harsh cornering, though I done the best I could and gave it my best shot. Thanks for the advice! The gearbox is mainly due to the standard items being fairly unreliable as power increases, and instead of repeatedly fitting standard gearboxes, it makes
  20. As promised, here are the photo's of the recent modifications, and the video from Rockingham, but before I upload them, I've realised that in my haste, I'd actually forgotten a few things! I purchased a FIA/MSA compliant "plumbed in" fire extinguisher kit, which was fitted just incase of emergencies, as it's better to be safe than sorry! The canister is a 4.25 litre bottle mounted behind the passenger seat, with spray nozzles located in the drivers and passengers footwell, and at all 4 corners of the engine bay, covering all necessary locations, with 2 "pull cords", one internal and one exter
  21. Thanks man, much appreciated! There is no understeer chassis wise, the only thing currently letting the car down is tyres! It has a large splitter mounted to the chassis up front that extends underneath the engine to aid in downforce, and a set of canards to help airflow too. Everything is adjusted in what seems to be the optimal position. I'll upload the video from Rockingham shortly so you can see for yourself
  22. I'll be having the Quaife sequential fitted around August time, along with many other parts, including standalone management, billet TD04 and going stage 2 fully forged with uprated valvesprings and ARP headbolts. Once this is done I'll report back with how it copes and how it feels. I'll also be updating my build thread and will include videos to show how it goes/sounds/engages etc.
  23. Soon to be Sequential, Fully Forged and Hybrid Billet TD04!

Where you getting your sequential from?

All work will be carried out by Tuning Developments buddy :)

  24. Haha yeah it did, go hard or go home though right?! I'll throw some pictures up in the morning of the cage and all, it certainly makes a difference though!
  25. Not bad for my first time really, finish was nice and even with no runs or patches Yeah from what Mike has said, he hasn't fitted one to a Glanza before, so I think I may be one of the first to run a Quaife sequential, so that'll be something new! I'd estimate I'll be running around the 300bhp mark, I'm at 236 now and she pulls superb, but there's always room for improvement! Yeah, when I first got it, I didn't have too many crazy plans, but the more I looked about the more I decided I wanted something slightly mental, and here we are haha! Still lots to do, but she's nearing completion now!
