  1. Be sure to check back mate, I'll throw the pictures and video up in the morning, thanks for taking an interest! Yeah, it's definitely a marmite car, you either love it or hate it, but you can't suit everyone's taste, and as it shows, sometimes it's better to stand out from the crowd a little. The sequential 'box is definitely my favourite part that'll be fitted, I can't wait to see how it feels! As for the rear plastics, do you mean the shock tower covers? If so then yes mate I painted them myself, simply keyed and primed, then painted with satin black straight out the gun . T
  2. Haha cheers man, I can't wait! I'll throw some videos up when I get her back and show you all what it's like, I must say I'm a little nervous mind, but the excitement definitely overpowers the nerves!
  3. Very much overdue update! Wow, it's been a while since this was updated! A fair bit has changed, but the biggest update will be coming in the next couple months, so, let's recap what's happened since the last update. 1. As some of you may have noticed, the car was featured in Japanese Performance magazine in June, although at this point it was very early in the build, so was very much nowhere near finished! That being said, it was still a pleasure to be noticed, and for her to get a feature, as she is still very "different" in her own right. 2. The Evo Recaro's were removed and replaced
  4. I'm having one of these fitted in the next month or two (booking up when Mike returns to TD on the 20th) so will update my build thread and take a few videos when it comes back. Will be having this fitted along with a Quaife LSD, fully forged engine and hybrid turbo using Wolf V550 standalone. The car is still used on the road, but once complete I plan to enter Time Attack and see how she fairs against some of the other cars. All in all though, I can't wait to drive it once it's all done!
  5. Hi man, it was me in the black Glanza Currently running 236bhp at 0,9 bar on standard internals, but was suffering with an injector breaking down on me causing a slight misfire, was great fun apart from that though! That MX5 is quick man!! Yeah standard internals with upgraded turbo and management etc. The wing and aero helped a lot, I didn't adjust tyre pressures or damping before the track, so it was basically used how it is on the road, but one thing is for certain and that is I need to get a better set of tyres! I have a video of the session too if anyone would like to see it, it's
  6. I'm also running a TD04 mate, you got pics/vids of yours dude?
  7. As per the title, looking for a side exit exhaust, was looking first rather than going for a custom build as I would like to keep mine ideally for quieter track days etc... Thanks
  8. Thanks for the feedback matey, much appreciated! Top notch buyer too, couldn't have asked for an easier transaction!
  9. I'm still waiting too, hate playing the waiting game! Then again my car isn't finished yet, I'm still waiting on parts
  10. Update Time! - It's Been a While! Well, it's been a while, but it's about time for an update I think! The last time I posted, I stated I was ordering my TD04 kit from Race-Tech, well, that's all fitted, along with a race spec rocker, freshly painted in wrinkle black I also changed out the Apex'i filter for a K&N kit instead, which is absolutely HUGE in comparison! (although the photo's don't really show this too good) I also set about fitting a set of carbon fibre eyebrows too, which compliment the tinted headlights greatly, and while I was on, had the fog lights tinted yellow.
  11. Update time. Another update, something a little more substantial this time (albeit no pictures yet...) I have finally bit the bullet and ordered my turbo upgrade, a TD04 kit from Race-Tech. I can't wait to get it fitted and mapped, and even though I'm only on standard internals I can't wait for the power increase and the sound of that screamer! It should be here early next week, so in the mean time I can get the CT9 kit stripped off and cleaned up ready for sale, and also see about painting the block/rocker cover etc. Scott
  12. Haha yeah the traffic was bad that day, didn't see you mind! I ordered mine from Corby Motorsport, can't wait for it to arrive so I can get it fitted! I'd say get one
  13. Update time again Nothing major, but as always, any progress is good progress. I've ordered my full roll cage from Safety Devices, a 15 point MSA and FIA approved item including door bars, harness bar, diagonal braces etc, so that should be here around the end of March, so if all goes well it should be fitted before Japfest! I have also received my Lifeline LED rain light, which will be used in replacement of the original fog light with it being much brighter and much more visible once mounted to the cross brace on my wing. I must thank my girlfriend for this one, as for valentine's d
  14. Update time again. Another update today. Came in from nightshift and the weather was too good to miss out on, so went out and got the canards fitted up. Nice easy little job and didn't take long at all for a good result and a nice upgrade on the front end. I went to bed for a few hours, waking up to find my dad had saved me a job and tinted my front and rear lights, something I was wanting to do for a while to give the car a more savage look. As you can see from the picture above, the lights aren't too dark compared to normal, but give a nice mean look. The rear lights were tinted
  15. Thanks mate, she's getting there! Sadly I missed out on track time at Japfest, but will be getting as much track time in as I can this year. Should hopefully be getting fully caged in the near future too
  16. An overdue update. Well, it's a little late, but there's been a few changes made to the car so it's about time for an update. The car was taken down to Tuning Developments on the 16th of January to have a Greddy EMB and a GFB EBC fitted and all mapped in. It was a nice drive down with very little traffic, which made it all the more pleasant. The guys took my details and told me how it was gonna go down, and then swiftly got on with the work. It made 196bhp and around 190ft/lb of torque, figures that I was very pleased with (even more so due to winning the bet between me and the girlfriend a
  17. I'm already saving for a TD04 conversion haha, has to be externally gated with a screamer! After that, forged engine and more boost... It'll take time but it'll be worth it
  18. After another call to Tuning Developments yesterday, I've decided that I'm going to get a GFB G-Force 2 EBC fitted while I'm down there, in preparation for a TD04 kit hopefully later this year. I wasn't originally going to go for a TD04 but the cravings for more power have started, and the guys at TD really know their stuff. I'll be using them for my full build, so really looking forward to seeing the difference, starting with the ECU upgrade and more boost! I'll report back with the results once all is fitted and mapped.
  19. EP91BoostJunkie - Usually on Forza Horizon 2 or Need For Speed
  20. Haha cheers mate, it's had a lot of mixed reviews, but I love it! It still needs a few finishing touches to the bumpers and all, still have canards and a front air release panel to fit, but she's getting there Nice to see it appreciated though, cheers pal
  21. Well I'm all booked up with Tuning Developments for a Greddy Emanage Blue and mapping session on the 16th, so it's time to get the fuel pump and actuator fitted when I'm not at work (and when this bloody weather settles!) I'll post the results when it's done 😊
  22. Thanks guys, it's much appreciated! Still much more to do, but it's all a work in progress 😊
  23. There are the large mounts above the number plate surround, then there are 2 plates going into the bootlid itself, each with 3 large bolts securing it. There is then the 'X' brace in the middle supporting both side plates. I can assure you that the top mount isn't really needed, but is there for a little extra reassurance. Mark really knows what he's doing and wouldn't design and sell something that isn't safe and doesn't work.
