owning a black starlet id like to tint the rear lights black to match the colour of the car and match a few other ideas. what i wanted to ask is how much troble are tinted lights with mot, police and any other complications.

i was just about to post this, i have also came to the conclusion that we have upside down triangle tanks. lol. it is anoying because at half way i can get over 200 miles nd then the petrol just seams to escape out of the exhaust at a rapid rate. why is this someone must no?

you do have to play around with them o get the best out of them i ajusted mine only a fraction and managed to get 35o mile this time out of the tank will keep playing around wif it and see what happens.

ok after 2 tanks of petrol since fitting an ecotec valve i can get an extra 30 miles out of a tank if i mess around and near 50 extra miles to he tank if i drive sensibly-er . seams to help will see if this continues, and i con also say you can feel the motor being a bit more responsive. dont understand how it works but it seams to be doing the job.

when i start the sr the reves shoot up to 2 thousand and then settle down to about 1and a half. i can make the car move using just the clutch!! is this normal only seams to happen when the engine is cold and been sitting for a while.

thought id cheer myself up and have another go at this pic thing so here is the sound system and the car cleaned 20mins before the incident. car wont be sorted untill after xmas thank god for student grants who needs accomidation when you have a starlet. also on another note added the ecotec valve from the clio to see what difference it makes. looks promising at the minute as my tank usually only done me 280 mile and its not even half yet and im nearing 150 miles

just thought id ask as i do a lot of long trips and 280 to 300 seams to be average worst I've had so far was 250 but i was off work wif a lot of short journies thrown in

what type of milage do the rest of us na boys get to a tank of petrol im averaging about 280 miles

defo the exhaust have the same problem sounds really bad and serious mechanically. real pain in the ass

it happened on the sandynose roundabout. truck decided it like my lane more. yea i recon a gunmetal will look well to. just gotta sell my clio now and then spend the money fixing my baby.

was goinn to finally put up pics of the sound system but on the way to the girlfriends house i became one of many to be a victum of hit and run. with the driver door and rear arch getting the worst of it. pics will follow but as a warning if on a roundabout and a large lory hits you three things will happen. 1 you will get nocked into the next lane, 2 make sure u get the number plate as no other f..k.r will stop to help and 3 prepare for the heart break of your demolished starlet with no where to turn. ;-(

anyone find any centre caps ?

if your car dosnt go over them i dont think mine will my exhaust takes some abuse on small speed bumps but that will be resolved soon enougth.

i will hopeful get a run up and get this looked at and sorted with the wet weather i need as much grip as possible. new tyres are also going on.

cheers mart will remember that next time. i am realy liking the original colour of the wheels. saw a white starlet today with white wheels and they just dont look right. found out about the advanced timing on a tread in her somewhere it is only a very minor ajustment at the distributor but i found that disconecting the battery for a while and then putting the power back on helped with the very slight rougthness of the idle. problem time - because the car is so low it is wearing the front tyres badly on the inside and the tread on the outside is fine . to fix this will i need to get hold o

you were on the dot fuse was blown and the previous owner had taped the permanent and ignition lives together to throw a live to the clock nd interior light instead of checking the fuse thankyou for the advice.
