  1. yer the temp is cold on the hose at the bottom and the top one is well freaking hot. hope this is just it ? but what about the reving high even though i have turned the revs down as much as i possibly can ?
  2. also what sort of costs am i looking at for a new head gasket to be replaced and is there any point me getting a thicker one as im running higher boost thn stock as i have a hybrid on 1 bar.
  3. where is the thermostat located as ill replace this first and see if this is the problem.
  4. never had this problem before it just happened last night out of no where, i have noticed recently though the revs are a bit high and i even turned them down recently on the controll valve and they have gone up again to about 1400 and 1250 and wont go below that unless i keep my fingers on the electric window butttons when there completely down and then it goes back down to exactly 1k but when i take my fingers off the window buttons it rises back up.

  6. the engine heat is going through the roof. i think its head gasket as i had problem with getting water in the cylinders recently as i took spark plugs out and water got in on a well rainy day as i still have the hole in the bonnet. so i finally got all spark plugs out and cleaned em up and wiped all wires down as it was only running on 2 cylinders then about a weeks worth of driving and last night i notice my car smoking. opened bonnet and coolant is going everywhere. so i left it over night luckily i was just round the corner. then today took it to work, just as got to work the heat start
  7. thank god. will it make it as strong as before. luckily it is only round the bolt bit on the firs runner.
  8. i went to change the oil today as i am going on a long drive up to tring on sat when i opened the bonnet i noticed oil coming from the first runner. i have a new mani and i only recently noticed this, when i took a closer look i noticed that the head has cracked arround the area where the mani bolts onto. my mates dad thinks i can get it tig welded. im sorry but dont have any pics but do you think this is possible?

  10. i bought a clutch of them recently but on credit card so all you need to do is dispute the transaction with your provider and it comes off your statement, its clearly not a fraudulent site as people have had products off them in the past so how were you to know, so chances are you will have the item writen off. i used to work in a credit card department so i know a bit on this stuff but not 100% as i was on the customer service team not disputes. you have more chance not paying for it if its credit because it aint your money in the first place.
  11. does anyone know a website that does the exedy organic clutch kit cheaper than TM developments ? it was 270 on toy tuning 350 on Tm dev website it must be cheaper somewhere else but i cant find a website that does the toyota starlet one ?
  12. had cap clutch and thought it was shit. thats why i ask want peoples views of different clutches cap was shitty bite point and it only has lasted 7 months.

  14. im just wondering how much boost i can run. i got a ct9 hybrid and my engine is not forged ? im running a tong gt spec hybrid with : mani rrfpr hks actuator new fuel pump front mount de cat fujitsubo exhaust no filter now im used to the power its producing i was wondering if anyone has turned it up to lets say 1.2 bar on the mods that i have currently. i dont wanna have to go and buy management just for an extra .2 bar ?
  15. with these mods : front mount rrfpr better fuel pump de cat mani TONG TURBO actuator set @1 bar you will be keeping up with a lot more expensive cars like : civic type rs - blasted past one of them focus sts- creeping up the arse of one of those cocky bm drivers - the look on their faces priceless could just about manage to keep up with a audi s3 but i had a passenger and he didnt. etc
  16. realised i didnt have boost creep my decat was off centre and needed to file it down for the actuator to open the waste gate. now sorted running just under 1 bar and its going well. im now used to the power which sucks a bit lol but i can now go faster than : civic type rs - whereas before they were just creeping away from me focus st - bmw 2.8 etc if you want an all rounder get a tong turbo. at just under 1 bar i can keep up with this and thats where the turbo comes alive so with a decent map on a ecu and 1.3 bar this would be a killer. unfortunately i dont have a forged engine so

  18. im having the same problem at the moment as i just had my new tubby put on (hybrid) and no matter what i do with the actuator it is overboosting but the waste gate has been made larger and have been told that it wont cause boost creep but i think im having hose symptoms. even if i wound the actuator rigt open so its not closed at all when i get to 5000 revs the turbo starts to come alive then overboosts to over 1 bar which is all i wanna run as i got a fuel cut defender. saw it reach 1.3 the other day as i booted it and had to back off. everytime i take it out now im stoipping for a while for

  23. i have mannaged to round off the thread on the new turbo left hand side on the exit where the ic pipes start ( ct9 hybrid) what the hell am i gonna do as now i cant really tighten it up i have mannaged to find an old usty bolt that has seemed to work but a few more times of taking the ic pipes off and its never gonna work. reason i have had to take the pipes off so much recently is im trying to sort out the actuator as im setting the boost as i have the gay ic pipes that go over the mani restrickting me fom getting to the actuator easily. i cant afford to take the turbo off as im not a
