For sale: 1996 Glanza V turbo. Silver. 79,000 miles. Tax til end of sept 2012. mot til end of oct 2012.
Item Condition: Used
1996 (N) registration
Always ran on Shell V-Power or Super unleaded petrol (Shell V-Power 90% of the time)
There were no advisories from previous MOTs but I am aware that there are a couple of small niggles:
Passenger side CV joint could do with changing (clicks slightly)
Small hairline crack on decat and manifold could do with welding but not affecting performance
Cd changer catch does not hold cartridge anymore (could be repaired)
Scratch on driver’s side of car, and a few other small scratches (16 year old car)
Bonnet catch could do with a proper bracket setup to crash bar from when I fitted the FMIC (slightly looser than normal)
I have been as honest as I can and these are very minor issues. But I have adjusted the price to which I think is more than a bargain!
I bought this car in November 2007 fresh from import. I am the first UK owner. It is great fun to drive and I estimate it to be roughly 150-160bhp. The engine runs smooth and starts first go every time, which is not surprising considering it has only covered 79,000 miles (this will rise a little as i drive 5-10 miles a day) It has NEVER-EVER hit more than 0.8 bar of boost. I had it dyno’d in January 2008 and it made 139.4bhp @ the fly. This was with only an air filter and cat back stainless exhaust. They are 133bhp standard, so i was very pleased with the little 1.3 turbo. Since then it has had quite a few choice modifications (see list below)
Engine
ToyoSports Front Mount Intercooler
Exedy Organic clutch kit
Magnecor KV85 HT leads
Bosch Super 4 Spark Plugs
FSE fuel pressure regulator (set at 2.85 bar)
Forge adjustable blow-off valve
Autobahn alloy lightweight radiator
WEPR mild steel manifold (has hair line crack)
Stainless steel 2.5” decat
2.25”-2” custom stainless steel exhaust (straight through)
Pipercross air filter (relocated to front bumper behind grill)
Suspension and wheels
KYB up rated gas shocks
Cobra 40mm springs (sits really nice)
14” GMach alloys sprayed black wrapped in 185/55/14s
Lightweight black locking wheel nuts
Interior
55mm boost gauge
Carbon style dial surround
Blitz turbo timer
OMP replica wheel
Price and price conditions: £2,100, but feel free to make me a sensible offer, as I'm after a fairly quick to sale to get a family car!
Extra Info: Sunroof model, loads of expensive choice mods.
Contact Details: 07854986122
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Delivery & Conditions of Delivery: Collection preffered
£2,100
Ps. Buyer will also receive the following expensive goodies:

the hybrid? only thing is it cost me a bomb because its a one off. might try and sort problem myself so we'll see what happens
-
turns out it was oil seals on turbo. using my mates ct9a for the time being. now smokeless exhaust apart from the odd flame lol.
joe

gonna do another oil change with better oil and changing the turbo today for a standard ct9a. see what happens!

right so i took her out for a slow and careful drive earlier. no smoke at all til she warms up and then 10 minutes later lots of whiteish blue smoke on idle and when i blip the throttle i get a big clump of thick oily smelling smoke. also the miss fire is completely random comes and goes as it pleases! its not to.bad at high revs but pretty bad at low revs e.g. pulling away from a slow roll in 2nd. what i dont get is that shes making 145psi across all cylinders on a warm engine and ive been getting 450-550 kms per full tank of v power.
any help much appreciated thanks

cheers micky will look into that and get the fpr spot on and go.from there
thanks

ok so i think i might be running a bit rich (2.9bar on rrfpr) at only 0.6 bar on hybrid
but this is only until i get her on rr. so any ideas on the blue smoke though?
