  1. Haha, i read all thing yesterday, but what i meant was if you have some new pics, after those you took and post.
  2. What brand did you go with? I know that the Ta Technix coilovers to Polo are a little shorter than the Golf Mk1. But front are the same. I also am gonna run without helped springs and set it pretty low. If thats not gonna work, I atleast have try
  3. Yeah, I read all about it in your thread, there you did som mod of the coils Thanks
  4. So how did it go for you Colin? Any pictures of the car with the coils mounted?
  5. Hello again. If I get some Mk1 for the rear, cant I get same to the front then? Mk1? Mk1 front and rear.. Mk1 and Mk3 are the same all around. Mk2 has longer struts, and Polo 6N has the Mk2 front struts. Very confusing, but I'll need the shortest strots I can get without get any problem with the hight
  6. Wheeltest nr.2 Need to lower the car about 60-80mm all around to make it look good with the wheels. Im gonna buy some Polo 6N coilovers next month and rebuild the to fit
  7. Mk1 and Polo 6N is the same lenght what i know? And Ta Tecnix can lower the car 100mm, have buidt a few Golf Mk2, Mk3, Mk4 with Ta Technix
  8. Did some wheel testing yeasterday, only on the right side of the car, just to see if i needed some spacers or not, but they fits good. The car stands in a uneven ground and my winter tires are still on, on the left side, soo the car looks even higher at this point. But we have decided that we want to try to rebuild some Volkswagen polo 6N coilovers to fit most cuz I want to lower the car more than the lowerings springs lower the car. Measured I need lower the car about 8cm to make it look good with the wheels.. (Hope you understand what writed with my bad english) Pictures below
  9. I ran on these 7,5x16 Wheels and new 165/40 tires Could sit nice Leaned them against the car and checked Original 13 inch wheels on now with winter tyres. 155/70 i think it is. And the new wheels (pic) Maybe I should fix them up and repaint.
  10. Thanks for that Well, then it gonna be some 40/40
  11. Well, im looking fpr some lowering spring for my Starlet '98. Tein says put the car down 57mm in the front and the rear 50mm, but I have read that you cant trust those numbers Teins have. These cost for me in Sweden, like 180£. Ta Technix lowering springs lower the car 40/40. Cost 100£ I dont have a good economy, but I dont want to be fooled if the Tein's lower the same as Ta
  12. Yesterday, I was also 50£ poorer because I happened to lock my car keys and home keys in the car .. A guard had to come and unlock the apartment. A tow truck would have 130£ :/
  13. Yeah, mabe over there, but here they are all the same with black bumpers. don't want that, looks boring :/ Hmm
  14. So, i did install the white indicators on the car, and the open air filter. Like the sound om that Yes, Im gonna fix the engine later. But its to cold outside now, so it have to wait for the spring or summer. Also, need to fix the cold air intake for the filter
  15. No, have not done that yet. Its to coold to fix things with the car outside. Have no garage, and its freezing cold outside. But did install the open air filter today
  16. Thank you Haha, yeah , you made me do it Oh, I will
  17. And the fit rear Mk1/Polo 6N coilovers? After mod
  18. These powerflex bushes, are they to Polo/Mk1 coilovers? Or are they some random?
  19. Big thanks. Great answer. Need to take a think of this shit
  20. Haha.. Maybe its better to buy lowered springs insted. Saw someone who had cut the lowering springs, and that Starlet went low as fuck, I dont want to dricve crazy low, just want some good fitment. Need to use the car on bad roads in the woods too
  21. Is it because you cut the bushes it will fail? I can understand that tho. Shouldnt it be the same if you mod the powerflex bushes too?
