  1. How does the JAM compare to the standard one? I've got one but never drove the car on stock so curious to the difference it makes.
  2. I think there was a set of wheels going here...might be worth dropping a message. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/102833-starlet-parts-for-sale-inc-performance-parts/
  3. Sold, please lock/delete. Thank you.
  4. Cheers both, there's always more to do just not enough time or $$$. I've got a lot of respect for some of the build threads on here. Buckles were about £14 each including delivery. Did have to message their eBay store direct though to arrange a specific listing and stock was low at the time so get in there!
  5. A quick update on the Glanza... The original seat belt buckles were on the way out, so after some searching, I managed to find replacement parts on Toyota's eBay store. I think it's probably the third time I've had the seats out the car so the neighbours must be wondering what's going on. I also picked up an HKB boss kit so a steering wheel is next on the shopping list. Other jobs have been fixing the parcel shelf rattle with strips of foam draught excluder which worked a treat. The main headlight bulbs could probably do with replacing, are there any bulbs folks would recommend?
  6. Afternoon Simon, A couple of newbie questions you might be able to help with. What’s a normal detailing routine? At the moment, having clayed any car after I’ve bought it, I polish (a basic SRP) and then wax (Collinite 845) twice a year. In between this I just wash as and when. Can / should I polish and/or wax it again? What can I do to improve my paintwork? I currently can’t afford to spend hundreds of pounds on a detailer’s services (as much as I’d really like to). What can I do to improve my paintwork beyond a basic polish and wax by hand? Thanks for your help!
  7. Mmm. That is indeed lovely. I have a friend who has a MK5 GTi, he regrets not saving up the extra $$$ for an Edition 30. Something about a bigger turbo and better remap potential? Turns out the guys with the Golf R and R35 both train at my gym. Small world.
  8. That colour is spot on, love a bit of KTM orange.

  10. Did mine not so long ago, read all the threads on the forum and went with Toyota red coolant in the end. Got it from their eBay store which I think was the cheapest at the time including delivery, free key ring thrown in too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Toyota-Long-Life-Red-Coolant-Antifreeze-Concentrate-5-Litres-0888980014-/221764134022?hash=item33a22c2486:g:33sAAOxyeR9TGZT8
  11. In case it's of any help to anyone, I managed to get a pair of buckles by contacting the Toyota eBay store who sourced a pair for me. Ta.
  12. ^That would be handy. I found 73230 and 73240 here. If these numbers are right is it just a case of calling a Toyota dealer up and are they all the same price? Ta.
  13. Quick question all. I'm after seat belt buckles (the bit you insert the latch into) for driver and passenger seats on a 1996 Glanza. A breaker on eBay is asking whether mine have pretensioners or not. I've googled, checked the forum and rummaged around in my seats but still have no idea if they do/don't. Can anyone help? Ta.
  14. Still after a pair of buckles (think Scott might be on holiday). If anyone has a pair or knows how/where I can get some, shout! Ta.
  15. Ta, it's so much fun. Saving up for a steering wheel at the moment. Debating what to get, let me know here if you've got any thoughts!
  16. This is really helpful, thanks all. Wasn't sure if Nardi would be worth the extra £50 over something like a Sparco or Momo. Been searching and looks like I'll probably pick up something from Driftworks or Demon Tweeks.
  17. Took the Glanza on a roadtrip from London to Edinburgh for a few days. Planned a route through the Lake District hitting up some driving roads on the way. A708 from Moffat to Selkirk covered on Pistonheads is well worth a look with some tight corners, stunning scenery and open straights. Special mention for Tebay Services on the M6, if you're passing it's worth stopping. Also spotted this Toyota on the streets of Edinburgh.
  18. Saving up for a new wheel and thought it would be worth finding out what everyone's got... What steering wheel do you run and would you recommend it? Does the Glanza suit a smaller wheel (330mm)? I'm looking at Nardi, Sparco and Momo, any I've missed? Cheers all.
  19. Have to catch up some time Rob, I'm up on London Road.
