Time for another update. I managed to spend a little money now as I got my first pay check from my new job and my insurance is now paid off. This build should now start moving forwards at hopefully a reasonable pace.
My first purchase was the Leon Cupra R splitter which I think looks insane. I'll see if I can get some better pictures soon.
Then I was completely fed up with the 4" speakers up front. I've tried multiple brands but because of the small size none were good enough so I got myself some reasonably cheap 6x9s and they work wonders. Sound quality and volume is so much better now and there is also some bass too.
I also replaced my manky grey leather gear gaiter with a fresh black one off eBay and it looks a hell of a lot better.
That's it for now. Hopefully this weekend I should be fitting larger discs up front and some fresh pads too thanks to starletzey selling me some glanza carriers

Great guy I posted a wanted and not even 10 minutes passed and he'd slid into my dm's and what I wanted was on the way that following day. Good prices, very quick would definitely buy from him again
-
Just gonna edit that then cheers

Sorted. Doesn't matter anymore

Also the starlet sticker on the front above the headlight got boring very quick so pulled that off as well because the more I looked at it the worse it appeared

Another small one I'm afraid. I bought myself some clear indicators which in my opinion really clean the front end up.
And also fitted myself a fairly useless rev gauge.
I mean I'm sure the rev gauge would have been great if I had bought a decent one however being low on funds I bought the cheapest one I could and there is a fair bit of delay to where it's useless in 1st and 2nd gear and I think towards the very end of 3rd I think it starts to slump off. But other than that it's good.
Also hopefully within the next month or two some bigger updates should be happening as in a couple of weeks my insurance will be paid off, my birthday will have passed and a week after that it'll be payday so hopefully I'll still have some cash left over for car parts.
Also in the mean time there are a couple of boring fixes that need doing as both rear wheel bearings have gone, timing belt needs doing, drivers side cv joint is on its way out and more. But I'll leave most of that out of here as it's just boring maintenance stuff.

looks good dude! very clean looking, straight shell for 120,000 odd! keep it up
Cheers man will do

Damn that's a pretty fresh one dude! Keep it up!
Cheers man will do. I've got big plans for once I've started my new job

There should be an unused plug taped into the loom under the drivers side plastic in the boot. This plugs straight into a plug on the parcel shelf from a CD spec UK car which had rear speakers as standard.
I've had a look and couldn't find anything but I just probably didn't look hard enough. I'll have a better look at some point. Cheers

if you have a recent head unit. they should be labelled as rear speakers on the wires.
running them under the centre console and under the carpet and seats takes 2 minutes
Alright brill thanks

Put the fader to the rear nd touch wires on til you get noise.
Okay cheers

Another small one as I've got my insurance coming up so need to save money up for that but I can't not spend money on it.
I was a little bored and had a spare starlet sticker hanging around so I thought I'd have a play with somewhere different to put it and I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
Then came the accidental chav as I thought I'd ordered a white LED for the interior but it turns out it was blue but since the old bulb had gone I thought I'd leave it in for now.
Then to match the blue light and intake I thought I'd get a nice blue gear knob as well as some glanza cup holders curtesy of Rory Webb
Finally since one of my daylight bulbs had gone I thought I'd get some nice white LEDs to replace the yellow ones and I also have some LED H4 bulbs coming too for the headlights soon.
That's all for now just little things since money is tight but once the insurance is paid off in comes the bigger modifications.

The rear outputs?!
Any idea on colours etc I assumed the rear outputs

I just ran some wires straight from the stereo under the centre console/seats that just popped out in the centre of the boot took 20mins
Okay cheers I'll just do that then. For the wires you ran which wires behind the stereo did you take the signals from?

Alright cheers man

I'm after some of the ukso stickers but they are currently out of stock and was just wondering when they would be coming back in stock
-
As we all know the speakers that come with the car are terrible and it's difficult to get any bass from replacing the stock 4" speakers. I have read that there is wires in the back of the car for optional rear speakers and I've had a look and I think I've found them I just want to make sure.
The wires I have found are all grounded but one is brown (ground) and then there is a yellow and brown one (hoping to be speaker) and then a plain yellow one (hoping to be positive). There is a picture below. I would just like to know what the wires are and if they are speaker wires if there's a another on the other side of the car for the left speaker or if it all goes through those wires.
Any help massively appreciated

I was just wondering if these clocks would be a straight swap or if I would need to move the wires around. The seller doesn't know what car they came out of so I was just wondering that anyone knows if they will just plug in or if I need to rewire things.
Any help appreciated

I'm after some CD clocks or any other clocks that are a straight swap that doesn't require playing with wires because I'm not so great at that. Anywhere near Sheffield and I can pick up if not posted. Got money waiting. Any help appreciated
This is into an EP91 na sportif by the way

Paint looks to be in very good condition for a 18 year old car
Where it's the same colour it's definitely not bad. Cheers man
