  1. I had a black E reg 22yrs ago and absolutely LOVED it!! It was my 3rd car having had 2 Nova 1.3SR's before it, and my god did the Uno shift compared to the Nova's! It was awesome. I found the engine to be great as it happens. Quiet, refined, fast and economical.....everything my Mk2 XR2 I changed it for wasn't. I have such fond memories of the Uno, and out of the 17 cars Ive owned, it's the one I remember the most.

It's funny that nicknames have been mentioned. Mine got called the Turbo biscuit tin on many occasion, but it was "lethal" that used to crop up the most from those who drove it

  2. Did you take the lower dash plastics off to get to the relay??

I had the lower plastics off yesterday (upgrading the speakers) but couldn't see a relay anywhere

    Bump

In had the dash clocks plastic binnacle off yesterday and still couldn't see a relay despite the hazards being on to locate where the clicking was coming from.

Could someone give me a definite location for the indicator relay please?

  3. Standard n/a dies out around 4K revs I found, corolla mani def helps them to pull stronger to the redline

A rolla mani was defo on my 'would probably do' list, but from what you say it's now on my definitely to do list.

It's weird how they seem to hit a wall at 4k. I know they're only a small engine, but 16v's I've had in the past (granted bigger engines) always started to pick their feet up at 4k. Looks like the hunt for a rolla mani is on

Can anyone confirm what mph they're at at 3000 revs?

Also had an NA box in my glanza, shorter gears for sure, but revs were just fine.

Were you at around 4k at 80mph too?

  4. Strange request for all you N/A chaps.

I've recently fitted a standalone rev counter to my 1997 Sportif, and wondered if the posh N/A drivers out there with standard fitment rev counters (a la CD, GLS, SR) could tell me where your revs sit at 80mph in 5th gear, and where your revs sit at 3000 revs in 5th gear.

Also, how 'lively' is your rev counter? The needle on my gauge seems a bit 'slow' and doesn't exactly race round the gauge if you know what I mean. If I wind the car out the needle doesn't seem to make much progress from 4000 revs.

  5. I've just read this thread from start to finish, and alll I can say is massive thumbs up to you both

It's weird because I'm not that much of a fan of that turquoise colour normally, but as a Glanza rep it looks awesome. I think because the car looks 'phatter' with the Glanza parts on, and weirdly as there's more of the colour what with the spoiler and wing mirrors, it look ace. Top effort to you both.

  6. My flasher relay was next to the steering column. You could always get a torch and look
