Hi guys, I have a starlet gt with a TD04 turbo. I had my timing done recently and my mechanic said it was way off and he wasn't sure why. His set it to normal now but I feel like I lost power slightly top end. Seems like the accelerator struggles to pick up now slightly. Haven't tested the car fully with increased boost as it's always been set to 0.3 when I brought the project and haven't got round to connecting my boost controller up. Is this set up right or it should the timing be more advance for a TD04?

Ok thanks I will connect it up. Will it be ok to run it on 0.8 bar with Standard fueling. I don't have a FPR or FCD installed, just a walbaro fuel pump?

Hi guys, I have a starlet gt on a TD04 with a Kinguwa actuator, when I brought the car the boost was set at 0.4. It came with a boost controller but the engine pipes for the boost controller were disconnected. I want to raise the boost level to 0.7. What's the best way to do this? I'm happy to leave the controller disconnected until I map the car sometime next year or would I be better off connecting it up for now?

Does anyone know how much roughly this job would cost for a garage? I spoke to one garsge snd he said engine might need to come out if its the oil pump?

Cheers guys for your help, would I also be better off doing the waterpump while i'm there too? I brought the car which came with no history n apparently the engine was rebuilt 300 miles ago, not sure what sort of job they done if its leaking already so I'm thinking i'll be better off doing all of the above while i'm there.

I've decided to go for the emange blue ecu. So am I right in thinking the only additional things i need is: Wideband afr gauge Fuel cut defender - do i need this? Fuel pressure regulator And maybe bigger injectors

I'm happy with anything between 190 to 210 bhp not looking to push the TD04 to the limits or anything.

Hi, Does anyone know the size of the original bonnet bolts for the gt or where I can get them from? I brought the car with bonnet spacers but not a fan of them. Thanks

Hi All, I recently brought a Starlet GT which is nearly ready now. It has a TD04 kit, FMIC and a full decat system. I was wondering what are the options to tune the car so it is fueling and running correctly. I know there's a few different ECU's but is there a specialist to get the car tuned without changing the ECU?
