I bought a second hand CT9 wepr manifold the other week.
It had cracked and the flange holes were 2.1-2.7mm smaller than the cylinder head, that's my only experience with them.
I think they offer lifetime warranty now anyway, so maybe things have improved.
Have you contacted them about this?

Just curious as to if there’s many owners in the area or on the forums. Only ever Seen the odd Gt turbo driving about
also anyone local to the area breaking or selling ep82 parts?
-
Can anyone confirm if mk1 headlights fit a mk2 without any issues?
-
How hard would this ecu be to map just to make car driveable with ecu fitted?
Previous owner says it’s mapped for forged engine, td04 and 550cc injectors. I’d be standard injectors, td04/tf035 and non forged engine.
id only want car driveable to drive to proper mapping

Sweet cheers guys

You can use a map sensor off a celica gt4. It has the same housing and connectors as the starlet map sensor so its plug and play but the tuner will have to scale it accordingly. The only difference on the sensor is the gt4 has a purple sticker instead of orange like the EPs. Bargain at £350
Is a map sensor required? Or can I just use the standard one on the car already?

Brilliant, that’s the info I was after.
one last question, due to this being quite an old ecu now are they prone to failure in anyway? Burning out, wiring messing up, solder needing redoing and so on?
-
Hey,
just a question about ecu’s.
a friend has a Apexi power fc with harness for ep82 and hand commander. At mates rates I’m looking at £350ish to purchase it from him. He has few more mods then me so I’d need to map it to my own car, or match my car to his spec.
Would anything else apart from a remap he required to chuck this on my car? Map sensors ect? Maf?
I understand this is a old ecu so my question is whether or not it’s still a worthwhile and viable purchase in today’s tuning world? Would I be able to find much else that’s better for the price?
I know theres a lot of newer options but for the similar price I can’t find anything worth having.
cheers guys

Have the same problem and from my research wepr are the “go to” for manifolds
-
So not worth the risk purchasing

And do mk1 lights fit mk2?
-
Just asked the guy and he says they are glass

Nope. Was simple enough
How did you mount this? Are the mounting points present or did you need to fabricate?

Isn’t going great so far, finding parts isn’t easy.
Currently need:
-standard exhaust mani
-ct9 turno
-ct9 downpipe
if anyone can help with the above chuck me a pm as can’t seem to put a wanted post up?
-
Will do in the coming months, got few bits I want sorting and some MOT requirements to sort out first. Got my work cut out this month
-
I thought as much, hopefully build the parts up over time
are all slam panels the same?
-
Sweet cheers, I’m guessing the parts I need won’t be to easy to find
if anyone wants to trade mk3 for mk2 front end chuck me a pm, or if anyone has the lights/bumper/grill they want to sell let me know
-
What within the interior is it that’ll confirm mk2?
So mk2 and mk3 bumpers are the same?
any knowledge on the wiring side of things?
all slam panels the same?

Recently picked up a ep82 Gt turbo which I believe is a mk2 (L reg with boot lid having the non light up reflective panel). Previous owner says it has a mk3 front end conversion. I like to keep things oem and don’t particularly like the “look” of quad lights so looking to go back to original.
can anyone confirm to me that oem would indeed be the square lights and not the quads. What else will need to be changed to be back to oem? I’m thinking front bumper and grill? (I plan to keep the gi bonnet)
what would have been done wiring wise to use this mk3 front and can it be easily returned back?
picture for reference of car
***complete new to starlets so excuse the quite possibly obvious questions***

Brilliant let me know either way sir

As I said, EP91 bottle fits in the wheel arch of the EP82 chassis, with the whole already cut out in the arch, so no need to modify the chassis.
It’s the wiring and rerouting of pipes that I can see being a pain?

Not sure if this is correct section or if should have put this into engine section. Either way:
ep82 washer fluid bottle that mounts to coolant bottle. Is there anywhere selling these brand new? Struggling to find one, mines cracked (well has a hole) and mot is due end of month. Failing that if anyone happens to have one chuck me a pm with a price. Are there alternatives I can use that still fit well and don’t require much rewriing and routing?
cheers

I’ll take them off next weekend and see how they look and move
