  1. Depends what you need doesn't it? what power you running or aiming for etc I've just put a stage 4 Spec 6 paddle in mine from Tuning developments and the clutch is really good hold above 350lbft torque but the release bearings are crap mine rattles after only a few hunfred miles. (Get the crank seal done or the clutch change will be a waste of time). If you are pretty much standard and not going to upgrade the engine too much then a standard clutch cope very well and a 30% uprated would be fine tbh.

  2. I fitted a spec 6 stage 4 on mine a while ago from TD and the release bearing is as noisy as the one I took off after 1300miles ! While its working I ain't messing about taking box off again Lol my gears were sticking too but I've found its a combination of the gear cables needing lubrication and the clutch slave cylinder having too much play ..

  3. John when I put my panhard rod on my old gt it used to knock and it was the bolt that had worked loose. I would check that 1st and if it is just stick a little locktite on it.

Mine knocks from the rear without but mine is because the old owner didn't know how to setup coilovers so I have a fair bit of playing to do :)

  4. Update : small washer large washer then bearing all greased then small washer large and then small then pin. while off I took the forked pin that holds the cable housing off and rotated the gear cables 45degress in either direction, and then re fitted everything but didn't press the forked pins in as hard as possible just enough to hold them in place and the gearchange is spot on nice and smooth and free. Also tried changing gearbox oil which made a small bit of difference.
