  1. hey i have a couple questions about a hybrid

i was taking a stroll yesterday when i triped over a ct12b (that whats writen on it i mean it kinda big )

both the exhaust side and the compressor side were verry oily

the turbo had a 4 cylynder manifold on it and a decat pipe how evea the manifold which is a logg style cant fit my 4efte

    moving on

i was once told by a guy that the only difference between the ct9 and ct12 is the exhaust housing as i had never seen a ct12

i dont thing that this is true for the 12 b as it is significantly bigger than my ct9

    my questions

1 can the ct9 exaust housing be futted on the the compressor housing of that ct12b if yes what would it cost to do so

2 what would it cost to rebuild the ct12b

  2. hey guys i juts got all the parts together for my engine rebuild how ever i just need to ask 2 more questions

in an early post i asked about the torque settings for the head bolts in the repy i was to to torque them in order

so question1: what is the order when replacing head bolts

question 2: what size on my filler gauge would i use to set the tappets ?

    thanks guys

  3. i got this info fron another page i can remember where but the first line has me confused

Cylinder head bolt - first, 500kg/cm ; second, turn 90 degrees Cylinder head x camshaft bearing cap - 130kg/cm Cylinder head x number 2 idler pulley - 280kg/cm Cylinder head x cylinder head cover - 70kg/cm Camshaft timing pulley x camshaft - 510kg/cm Cylinder block x number 1 idler pulley - 185kg/cm Cylinder block x crankshaft bearing cap - 580kg/cm Cylinder block x rear oil seal retainer - 75kg/cm Cylinder block x oil filter union - 250kg/cm Connecting rod cap x connecting rod - 400kg/cm Crankshaft x crankshaft pulley - 1550kg/cm phew ! ... I've taken these settings from the 63026 Toyota Japan Engine Repair manual (4E-FTE) and cross referenced them to the RM238E (english 5E-FE) Paseo Engine Repair manual ... guess what ! ... they're the same settings except for the Cylinder head bolt (450kg/cm for EL44 Paseo, yet in Japanese manual they specify 500kg/cm for all 4E motors and the 5E-FHE !)

could some one please explain this to me cause i get all the other torque settings except that one

or if any body has any info on replacing the head that would be nice

    thanks guys
