  3. welcome to the site,nice ep82 mate.shouldn't need to get it re-mapped unless its been set up to run on higher octane fuel.induction and exhaust are normally the first things to go on.
  4. it would be easier and cheaper to transplant a 4efte engine than to do a conversion. you could try sourcing engine from fensport, not sure on the price, best to get in touch with them. as for power, a standard 4efte produces 133bhp.with exhaust, decat and filter probably something like 145. with boost controller and fmic + upgraded fuelling somewhere in the region of 170-180 i should think. don't forget that the key to a gt turbos performance is power to weight, i don't know how heavy a corolla is but im guessing its more than a starlet.so prob best to make the car lighter as well.

  7. no, not on a starlet!jap style exhausts are getting more popular for the pure fact that they look better than most other types
  8. well having had both bailey and hks on my car, i would have to say that i preferd the bailey, for the pure fact that the hks tended to sound more like a whistle.don't get me wrong it sounded good but i drew more attention with the bailey valve.however that was with a blitz filter on which made the bailey sound different anyway i have now removed the cone and it sounds better still more like the traditional "tsscchhh".anyhow normally i would buy jap parts for a jap car but that was all i could afford at the time and it does the job perfectly well.

  13. what sort of size front mounts are people using?ive heard intercoolers from saab 900's can be used,is this correct?   16. my mates selling his 300bhp pulsar at the moment,and as for running costs compared to my gt, mines like diesel efficiency!! usually get 200 miles to a tank i should think, starlet fuel tank is alot smaller than a gti-r's though.

    gauges advice

    ive got a TIM boost gauge it seems to be fairly accurate, they also do a air/fuel ratio gauge..well pretty sure they do anyway.available from demon tweeks,not sure where else.
  20. got bored today so decided 2 go 4 a drive on the a1.waiting in que at roundabout to get on the a1 and this chav in a green punto pulls up behind me and starts revving his engine(loud exhaust to emphaize the 1.1 ),it also had black bumpers,silver sunstrip and m3 mirrors and the nessacery 3d lexus lights. anyway finally get on the a1 and he decided to race me so i floor it past him 2 about 120 and eventually(well it seemed like 10minutes)he catches up so i pull off on to a tight sliproad and he pushes me round it , then theres a small round about and he pushes me round this at 45-50 , i som
  21. depends on how much you want to spend really. hks and blitz make good boost controls and awesome sounding dump valves but are quite costly.turbo xs and turbo smart are also good.might want 2 think about a fuel cut defencer as well if your going 2 be upping the boost. dump valve will give you the noise(if its atmospheric) and reduce lag.boost control does what it says on the tin but wud prob recomend an in car electronic one,as you can adjust it as an when you like.front mount intercooler will be a big help as well,heat soak is a big problem especially with summer coming up! i would go 4 dump
