  2. na it aint fuel cut i hit fuel cut all the time, its like a missfire?fuel cut is fast and sharp this isnt?
  3. ok so i just went out in the car but i now have another problem, when i drive the car normally its fine but when i get to 4000rpm the car missfires and makes a gurgling sound i also loose power, the car still boosts as normal to 4000rpm, ive notices the fuel injectors seem to be slightly louder ive checked all the oil/water and theres nothing loose. i think it could be fuel related, if someone could please shed some light on what it could be or how to fix it... thanks Dean
  4. before the conversion i would definately get an actuator and maybe a fcd because as soon as youve got a fmic and exhaust with filter it will hit fc reli easy mine takes the piss! its a fairly easy conversion are you getting the loom done or are you doing it?
  5. looks nice mate black sunvisor looks better than the white one looks smart either way
  6. ive just come back from driving the car and the gauge has bin fine for the lst hour... i think im just gonna upgrade to some defi gauges eventually! i might just get a new sender in the mean time! there only a few quid, thank for putin my mind at rest
  7. ok i dont seem to be having much luck with gauges recently.... the problem is with the oil pressure guage i currently have a sandwish plate with the oil pressure sender in it, usually when i start the car the gauge reads arounds 5-6bar then once its warmed up drops to between 2-3 bar but since today the gauge works normaly to begin with then starts flickerin from 1bar to 7 bar constantly going up and downand finally ends constantly at 7 bar wether im driving or not. ive checked all the connections ectc oil is fine oil brether isnt blocked, so what could it be and is it ok to drive its driving
  8. carnt belive most of you have only bin pulled a few times i went though a stage of getting pulled 2-3 times a week i used to keep the producer slips . ive even been pulled 2 times in 1 hour before but showed them the previous producer and off i went, a copper once told me i need a proper car like a bmw lol... funniest was when i got fined for parking on a clearway watching the sunday night racing the copper was fineing me whilst skylines and evos were doing like 140-150mph past us lol. since ive done the conversion i dont get pulled as much but still atleast once every 2 weeks easy
  9. stunning glanza mate hope you get it all sorted soon..
  10. i love the gauge for the money its really well lit up too quite similar to the defi... i think im going to change the thickness of the wire because i used 8 amp wire and its 2.7mm thick alot thicker than the standard wires..? if that fails im gonna try wiring it to the distributer king lead box, if anyone figures it out before me please let me know
  11. the gauge make is option shenstone is in between licfield, sutton, and tamworth....
  12. the powers connected to a non permanent live in the in car fusebox so basically the ignition, its reli wierd im baffled??
  13. how thick was the wire that you run to the diognostic socket, thats the only thing i can think of?
  14. ok yesterday i wired up my rpm gauge into the diognostic socket.... before yesterday the rest of the gauge had already bin wired up for bout 5 months. so anyway i took the car for a spin but the guuge seems awfully stiff like theres lag or somet it revs up but when i let off the guage takes ages to come down again, i thought it was the gauge but when i first turn the ignition on. the gauge lights up and goes all the way to the top then to 0 and flows like normal but when the cars started and i rev it it seems like its in slow motion, the only thing i can think of is i used 8amp wire to wire it
  15. welome mate/well worth doing the swap!
  16. my parents are the same they moan but they dont mind what i do my dads into his cars too but all the parts ive got lying around annoys them ive got the 4efe in the garden along with 2 sets of steelies 2 exhaust systems front wings a shed full of interior items my bedrooms the same ive got bumpers and headlights in my room, the time they moaned the most was when i put my bonnet in the bath to dry, they laughed at first. my dad carnt say much as he once stripped a motorbike in the bathroom, so when he moans i usually bring this up and i win the argument
  17. so you got it workin then... lol i 4got to do mine today
  18. do you know which pin it is? if you could please tell me what row and number it is that would be great thanks
  19. on my gauge there was a live and a neg then the light wich is ive its easy at the back of the fuse box go to all the wires and what your looking for is a non permenent live so the gauge will only light up when the ignition is on, easyist thing to do is buy one of them small screwdrivers that light up when theres a live, and als u do is turn the ignition on go test the wires with the screwdriver and when you find a live one just turn the ignition off to see if the screwdriver light goes out, if it only live when you turn the ignition on then uve got it bit if the light stays on all the time the
  20. has the wire come loose right in the little square gaps in the ecu? if so its a right pain it the arse i had a similar problem with a wire in the back of the fuse box you can either try putting abit of solder to secure it or a good little trick is get a small peece of speaker wire and wedge it down the side of the loose wire in the little square pocket. depending on the thickness will hold well just obviously dont leave bare wire hangin out lol, the pin in the ecu is crap my rev gauge doesnt work off the pin either im pretty sure if that wire becomes disconnected it cuts the fuel? hope this he
  21. i have had an aftermarket rev gauge for a while now, everything is conncted apart from the rpm signal wire. now origionaly i wired it to the pin in the ecu but it didnt read so now im thinking just wire it straight into the dissy cap king lead box thingy? i just need someone to tell me which wire i need to tap into i heard theres two black wires and i need to tap into the negative 1 ive had a look at the expander box that he king lead goes into and ive found 2 black wires on there own one has a red tracer. is this right?? pic to help its where my fingers are.. sorry bout the description of
  22. personally if it is how you say id take them to court, in nearly all cases they just expect you to take the fine and points. i went to court 3 times for the same speeding offence and represented myself, i won the case the court costs were well over £1000 lol the bet the police were pulling every one just cuz they havent met there targets.
