Yo, this has sort of just crept up on me. JAG my brother has been going on about it for a while. so i think im guna come as it looks awsome, but do i just go down in JAGs car or bring mine? as im presuming theres no room left at the stand or whatever? any help would be great! cheers, Dan

Hey Got this a few months back, nice clean green GLS done 62,000, 98 plate. Wasnt going to start a build on it as its only a first car and just hoping to get a few years no claims before getting a turbo or something faster. These N/As arnt exactly performance cars and after reading about this forum for a few weeks i saw that theres not much you can do to make them much quicker without a turbo. So ive done a few things to mine to make it abit more fun and keep it looking quite standard, im not really planning much more but i just thought id let you all check it out and get some feedback! < Standard car as i bought her. < Added some matts to match the essential red aviators Next added (spec list): -Genuine toyota alloy wheels, including all wheel nuts and locking nuts. > Wheels alone where in toyota showroom for 530 smackers, i paid 170 brandnew... ebay. > Wheel nuts where 5 pound each and locking wheel nuts like 7.50 i think... ripoff from toyota -Toyo proxy TR1s >240 -Import sized plates >30 i think? -100w bulbs >10 -25mm TTE springs >50 used, re powercoated or whatever they call it/refurbished. +10 worth of fosters to repay my dad -Tint on rear lights (very light tint) >10 for can, didnt touch reflectors -Custom exhaust system pipecraft, cat back stainless steel with 2.1/4" tailpipe slashcut. practically looks standard but sounds perfect. >220 i belive? -took off rear badges - and ive got one of those red tsport toyota badges laying around but doesnt look right - and ive got a turbo strut brace but need to relocate fuel filter to fit <Before exhaust <Brother JAGs infornt <After exhaust, gone for standard look + nasssssssty scuff from previous owner, stupid people damaging my car before ive got it tut! any feedback would be much appriciated! Right, im in abit of a muddle.. My brother has an SR and hes car just feel so much more sporty, feels alot flatter going round corners than the standard gls ive just brought. so i thought, oh il just get some SR springs. But toyota wanted just over 200 for the SR springs that are only like 25mm lower than standard. also i heard the standard shocks on an SR are slightly diffrent to the standard shocks on my gls? is this true? Ive also found that i could buy just springs after market for around 100-150 but there droped by 40mm, which would mean i need to change the shocks? yes? so to change the shocks and springs would cost around 350. So do i get SR springs for 200 and chance the shocks or buy whole new springs and shocks for 350? thanks for any help in advance.

Hey people today i got myself a little gls alfter much nagging and forceful words from my older brother telling me how cool it is to have a starlet... he drives an SR and is named JAG hmm.... I couldnt find an SR so i settled for this GLS hulk (hulk because its green and im quite into bodybuilding ) Right so today i ordered some clear side repeaters and fitted some ice blue sidelight bulbs. i get paid in a week or so then im after wheels and springs but im prety new to all this car stuff so i have no idea what brands are good in the wheel department so if anyone could give me the "lowdown" that would be much appriciated as i dont want to end up buying everything from halfrauds as you all seem to call it ha. also with the springs, if i just got SR springs would i need shocks? (do the SRs have diffrent shocks?) if i got a diffrent brand which ive seen on the net for about 100 such as like "spax" for example have no idea if there any good, but i take it i would need diffrent shocks with them??? any help would be much wickid thanks and so hes the "import pictures.." oh i mean garage pictures from where i got it
