This will make you laugh but to get my old backbox fitted to my starlet at the ex-toyota dealership garage I got to cost me the grand total of........ £10!! But for my Tanabe 4" I paid £40 to have it cut to fit and welded. Joz

It wasnt a TTE that Wings got, but similar Tommy made by the same company Remus. My JAP backbox is for a corolla but its welded on sweet and I have no probs with it. Most things will need welding or adjusting mate, I think you can do much better than the tte backbox altho your after an exact fit. Be a bit more adventurous and you could have something nicer but each to their own. I paid £130 posted for mine with minimal miles which is usually £350+ new in Japan You just have to keep your eyes open. Joz

Besides getting a migraine and earache from reading that lol I believe u can get it superchipped if your talking ecu wise. I've heard its expensive but maybe worth asking about if you have n/a tuning in the blood. Joz

Well the way I have it works mate and I been thru nearly them all... Have you not thought your apexi sucks in the hot air in the engine anyway besides the air feed. I understand tho that running the apexi itself from the throttle body would not be good ;) Joz

Nice to see some Induction Wizardry. The shorter the pipe/ram/airfeed/straighter the better tho. I run mine straight off the throttle body. Joz

I think it looks different and unique. Some people have been thinking its bodged but I think once you get the laquer on it and sort out the bootlid etc, it will look much better. Also think carefully about what you do with the bump strips as that could make a big difference. Good work wee man of many home mods, nice to see some daring work. Joz
