Hopefully they should be ok now! If theres a pic too small let me know people ;b Enjoy! Peace Out Joz -
Excellent Gerard mate! The twin cams always boost the toyota name ;b I had a 1991 sedan corolla, not quite lol! Peace Out Joz

Would certainly freshen things up even more electing a few new mods! Not being biased but some of us dudes are on here all day and night and visit as often as possible to catch up with the latest news and developments. Not just that but pretty dedicated to the site overall, tbh the site can be a bit inactive sometimes maybe due to the lack of members, but the one wish is to have the site constantly active like tgtt for instance... How can we acheive that? Maybe more topics, activities that attract constant viewing and interaction, the list goes on... Surely we can contribute even more to the UKSC by taking up a more involving role? Peace Out Joz
-
I agree, that is so true lol! The UKSC is like a 2nd (well 3rd) home ;b Maybe its time to elect some new mods ;b Peace Out Joz

Hey man hope u get sorted soon! Those add-ons u mentioned will greatly improve your car Yea get her sorted first, not easy coping with un-needed bullshit like that... I would max her out if I had 16's, way too low on 15"s mate, good for show but harsh for normal driving lol, can't say I wouldn't dare tho... 16"s might be next on the list... for me ideal height is so you just about can't see the arches ;b Peace Out Joz -
Cool man! Look forward to it! Peace Out Joz

Thanks mate, lol guess I never need to ask whats on your mind lol! Just trying to guess what your plans are, as your starlet got a bit damaged lately... Good eyes mate, indeed there is still a little adjustment left at the rear ;b Would be sweet to turn those bad boys down further, don't forget its the first time the car's been lowered ;b Yea the lower control arm is a great yet troublesome add-on as it vibrates during slow manoevures and clips small kerbs and speed bumps, recommended for track use ;b Will do mate, just waiting on a few more bits and pieces then I can sit back and enjoy until two months later when I will consider the next mods! Its exciting experimenting with the suspension add ons, making your car feel solid and safer! Thanks for reading bro, glad u liked the pics, keep us updated with your project too mate! Peace Out Joz -
Thats sound mate! If u had the bucks later on get a turbo starbo and a Ae for the garage/showroom lol! Peace Out Joz

Hi Guys Thanks for the good feedback! Forgot to mention that coilovers were designed for speed and only come into their own when driven at a certain speed and over. The way my Tanabes are designed are a happy medium as they cater for both the track and the road, some coilovers are made purely for the track hence ultra hard. My car is a daily driver too mate and I understand your concern, but once you get up there in the rev range and going at 50-60mph+ you will forget everything As for the panhard rod it is basically essential if you are getting you car lowered because the more lower you low your starlet the more the axle gets pushed in, the panhard rod counteracts this by pushing it out level, check out the vid again and you will understand RSR Panhard Rod The effects without changing your panhard rod is that your geometry will be very uneven and more than likely one side will scrub and you could be drifting either side. I had a hard time deciding whether it was worth it to get coilovers or just get lowering springs, but I have always wanted to do things properly hence I have benefitted from this, you do the maths ;b Lol, your backside will be fine mate, worry more about your kidneys and your spine For all the suspension components to work to their potential you will need to push the car a little more than usual, then you will really feel the improvements made from each mod, if it were stock suspension you would not be too confident... Yet another mini report, kills two birds with one stone! Thanks mate, that really made my day lol! I can see your budget ep91 coming along nicely! Also glad to see you liked the twin cam ;b Thing is the air filter wont budge from that spot mate, the actual filter element is not actually rubbing against anything and it doesnt move or vibrate hardly, the only thing touching the chassis is the top plastic cone part. It came with a bracket kit but was no good because the whole kit was designed for the jdm efi pipe which is slightly wider hence changed the position of the airfilter. Can't see it rubbing a hole thats all bro Correct me if I'm wrong lol! Maybe explain further where the hole was made in your old filter from your gt! Lol Si mate, you insisting I thieved it flipmode squad stylee? Only kidding mate, it was too good an opportunity to pass up for the cusco trio plus it was local so worked out well for both parties, anyhow you can easily score an os front brace from demontweeks or funkystyling so wats the prob bro Sounds like you want to score one cheap ;b I would too, bloody lovely they are ;b Peace Out Joz -
Glad u like it (twin cams) mate! Cmon people, stop just looking and start typing lol! Peace Out Joz

Hi Wings Hence the term Toymota lol! Yea sometimes better to go with function than fashion, but don't get me wrong I like subtle looking kits and decals, hence why I went for my front splitter and tte spoiler! Its an eye for an eye unfortunately, altho the tanabes retain certain comfort, they are a set spring rate and don't have the option to adjust the damping (hardness/softness) however altho the spring rate is fairly hard, the ride is indeed bearable but you get the odd bounce because of the recoil of the coilovers going back up from the slightest of road unevenness which you will get used to. Town driving is a little more difficult but no probs after a short while, you will just feel those manhole covers etc at a slow speed (30mph). So don't take it literally that they will be really comfortable because they won't be but a happy medium and a small sacrifice in comfort for ultimate handling once your starlet gets up the rev range with a huge grin on your face along with other tasty mods! Coilovers will never be 100% bump free and because you're closer to the road you will defo feel the impact of bumps etc about 5x more than stock) The Tanabes are height adjustable (25mm-100mm) and camber adjustable. The top pilliowball mounts are actually optional and would have cost extra if bought new. You get what you pay for mate ;b I would recommend these for a happy medium, because they are JDM and the fact that they are not very common and cannot be bought new, and its not easy for me to be content believe that. So if you see these again on here or tgtt get them reserved or something, you won't look back, however you will benefit greatly from that panhard rod I showed in the pics. It means your wheel alignment will be better and you won't auto drift anywhere. Think of this reply as a little mini report Peace Out Joz -
Hey G The posting and editing of posts is much faster and responsive now! All in all much more convenient with a few nicely added options! The site was hard to work with & slow a few days before when it was being tweeked, its definitely getting better now tho ;b Keep it up! Would like to see more cosmetic improvements and maybe some involving UKSC activities of some sort besides the polls and meets, maybe a monthly competition, and lets see more UKSC goodies being put back into the idea mix! Nice one! Peace Out Joz

A Kinder Egg for all you Twin Cam fans! Enjoy! A little restoration project never hurt anybody ;b Can't wait to see if this baby will be transformed! She needs a lot of work and she is obviously being worked on at the minute! Will try my best to get updates on this RWD Levin! Dude who fitted my coilys is the owner! There's also an STi, another twin cam and a S13/S14 (hard to tell because its in bad shape ; in the bloody yard lol! Hey G Glad u liked the pics man, not bad taken from a w800i ;b Sure comes in handy! U can now see much more progress going on and I can finally express what I want say in pics ;b Yea Im sure u understand wat I was sayin about the experiences and concepts of certain components so far ;b Just the tip of the iceberg tho... As for the front spar I will consider it the next time I decide to do some body mods, its all about time and money unfortunately, a bit like everything. But its nice to try and get the most from what u've already got sometimes ... Keep those comments coming people, I want to hear wot u got 2 say ;b Peace Out Joz -

Thanx for your supportive comments Shell Pics work ok for me... I try my best Yea she handles like a super mario kart like I said ;b Now with added brake power too, very firm feeling on the pedal! The feeling of the car still has small traces of stock comfort, hard to explain but hey... The Tanabe coilovers were designed to be lowered to the max and still retain certain elements of comfort (as long as you dont purposely go over a pothole) Look forward to more exciting developments soon! For now people, enjoy the pics and creativity involved with Starletto! Comments & Questions always welcome! Reviews will come later on the parts I got installed but for now, pictures paint a thousand words! I will be test driving this baby for a while to get the best out of her, after all its the driver that controls the starlet not vice versa! But let me tell ya, if its control and response you want over comfort, its well worth the beans upgrading your starlet alright ;b Most frightening thing is there is still room for improvement ;b The Cusco front lower arm bar is not there to look good unfortunately, it is the component most closest to the road so it will defo get scraped and hit from underneath from speed bumps and even minor kerbs as it sits so low, not for the faint hearted... but makes your car feel even better for real time accurate steering and extra front support! Peace Out Joz -

Hi All Thanks for the positive comments. No need to be jealous ;b if you're gonna do something might as well do it right Its all in the Starlet Spirit! Car is progressing at a rapid rate due to the opportunities that have come my way for parts, so had to get in there as the time was right rather than pay more later on! I am all partied out if that makes u feel any better lol! No more spending the beans on EP91 parts til september time! Also need to start enjoying her more as I don't get out in her enough (don't want to boost up the mileage too much lol!) ... Will do my best to write a few honest reports when I possibly can. All she needs now is to get the cusco bits fitted and a nice service! Forgot to say I got hold of some Infinity 9613i 6x9's so I can get to the groove whist flying round the twistys (in the post) ;b Rich if you're reading this, do u rate these 6x9s? 4efe specific apexi kit is also installed so will post some info on that too lol! The cusco lower arm bar should hopefully fit (fingers crossed) but I have a reliable source to ask about this so I will let u's know about that even before its fitted Take care people Thanks for the support, I lend mine to you as well lol! Pics soon (promise lol) (your up late G lol, are u busy making those anti lift kits or sumthin hehehe!) (Maybe I should be a mod lol, I am the only one on most of the early hours *yawns* lol) Peace Out Joz -
