  1. It does depends on what you prioritise. This picture pretty sums it up: Lost a spoke (from contact), and still finish the final lap of the race! The only wheel I have ever seen that actually kept it's structural integrity with a spoke missing! In the above case, if you were on something else you might not get away with a podium finish and a complete car. Would it happen to any of us? Most likely not. However, the value of quality is not for things that you can foresee, it's for things that didn't foresee. Jerrick
  2. It depends on what you want from them. As others have said if you are looking for fast road and occasional track days then the versatility of coilovers will be of great benefit. Of course as with most people your budget will dictate what options you have. Edwin
  3. No one said Enkei are cheap, but they will keep their value for sure. Not to mention we do offer 0% finance on these, so can spread the cost out. Jerrick
  4. We have been asking Enkei for a long time for a 15" RPF1 with concave spoke and dish like the larger / wider size. Enkei finally decide to make it and we have already pre-ordered stock of Enkei initial batch. Size are 15x8J ET25, 4x100, available in silver and black. Price are: £243 each for silver, £268 each for black. Here is a few photo of the wheels: Here is a few with the wheels installed: If anyone have any questions, please feel free to drop us a PM. 5. Quite different actually in the level of technology between the D2 and the MeisterR GT1. The GT1 use far more advance technology than the D2. We are looking at suspension that are design to compete with the likes of Ohlins, Nitron, Penske, etc. I am pretty sure if you open up the internal of the D2, you won't find any CNC parts at all. The D2 in the post is a 3-way suspensions, these have independent compression and rebound adjustments. However, without a dyno, it is near on impossible to make any meaningful adjustments. Also, we have seen a lot of 3-way suspension with "cross talk
  6. The GT1 are custom build to order, and for a performance suspensions of it's level it isn't bad at all. If you look at a set of Ohlins DFV, it won't be cheaper than £2500 and it isn't even available for most make and model. However, it is a road car that the GT1 will make the biggest difference. A good road suspension that is responsive, but at the same time are able to absorb bumps over uneven road surfaces to retain traction is a much more difficult task than a race suspensions. How much something is worth depends on the owners I guess. Jerrick
  7. While the outside of the GT1 look similar to the Zeta-R, the internal is completely different. I'll try to name a few parts, but there are quite a lot: 1. GT1 Piston: Precision CNC Aluminium: there are quite a few feature in this piston, I will work put up the details later. 2. GT1 bump stop: Progressive rate bump stop design to come into play progressively to aid comfort. 3. GT1 damper shaft seal: CNC made in house using Ultrasound tested Austrian Polyurethane. A normal damper will never exceed 40 bars of pressure, our shaft seal is rated to 400 bars. This damper shaft seal is o
  8. MeisterR has been working over the past 2 years on the development of an amazing British engineered suspension. We didn't want to make something simply different, we wanted to make the best and compete with the best offerings on the market. We have finally arrived at the finish line and the new MeisterR GT1 Coilovers are finally ready. The GT1 coilovers are developed in collaboration between MeisterR and Black Art Design (BAD). BAD is a well known British suspension company responsible for many race winning cars. Their portfolio range from the DAX Rush, Noble, Classic Austin Martin, to t
  9. Yes finance is 0% over 12 months and we do 10% discount for forum members. Edwin
  10. If you are looking into doing track day, why not get coilovers? You will benefit from using a much stiffer linear rate springs with adjustable damper. That will help control the weight transfer (body roll) and make the car much more stable on track. Jerrick
  11. As far as I know, the Tein EDFC kit will not work on the MeisterR coilovers. EFDC style adjustment are something I have been looking into, but it isn't something that have materialise yet. Jerrick
  12. The 10% discount isn't available with the 0% finance, it is one or the other. Regards to the coilovers, most owners review find that the Zeta-R "feel" a bit more comfortable / compliant than the BC coilovers, but are just as responsive. That is mainly to do with the damper valving design... springs rate does make a difference but the impact is much more noticeable from the damper valving. Hope that helps, any questions just let us know. Jerrick
  13. We will offering finance soon, with 0 down 0% interest. So if you interested keep an eye out for our official post soon. Edwin
  14. You need a spanner to loosen it, its the red part that looks like a nut, not the circular knob that you turn with your fingers. Hope that makes sense. Edwin
  15. If you ave any questions about MeisterR coilovers, drop us a PM or email, we're here to help where we can Edwin
  16. That does sounds fun but I need to go with something more sensible... and I think the Radical Clubsport is as hardcore as they come. Got to agree... one hell of a toy. Not sure if I have enough talent to handle a car like that... or even fit physically in one. Jerrick
  17. This stunning widebody R32 GTR is the previous demo car for MeisterR Ltd. One of the most well known R32 GTR around, it has been featured in multiple magazines in around the world, such as Banzai, Max Power, High Performance Import, etc. Built using the highest quality and rare parts, many on this car are discontinued and no longer available; making this R32 GTR a unique car. Engine & Drivetrain: The engine are freshly serviced and are in great health. The gearbox is a freshly rebuild unit with less then 1000 miles on it. Cold oil pressure of 6 Bar and warm oil pressure of 2 Bar indi
  18. MeisterR Sponsored Team MnM Michael Marshall have secured the title of the Super Professional class in the 2013 British Drift Championship. We have been excited of the result and I thought I throw a little short film together to celebrate. I also included a little driver feedback of the MeisterR coilovers from our champion driver at the end. The movie wasn't professionally filmed or edited (All done by me, and most say I should just stick with working on suspension), so any pointers welcome also. Hope you enjoy it. >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oHr7dmvyWc Jerrick
  19. Just get on the ground and have a friend turn the wheel lock to lock. If it isn't making contact, then it should be fine at least as far as the brake line is concern. It is just one of those safety check that should be perform as soon as the suspension are installed. But I would do it again just for a peace of mind.
  20. Just browsing the forum and notice this. Cannot stress the above enough is the check the brake line clearance. When lowering the car, the bracket on the damper is possible to catch onto the chassis brake line bracket within the turning circle. Should that happen bent the bracket out of the way to make sure nothing make contacts. This is part of the safety checks that should be done to make on every MacPherson Strut suspensions. We have made a small revision by changing the angle of the brake bracket on the damper, but it doesn't guarantee anything as this is base on the ride height adjustmen
  21. Guys, I am away until the 9th. But when installing, you need to push the hub all the way in to get more negative camber as the top bolt hole on the coilovers are elongated. This should be done on all MacPherson Strut installation. Others wise, something could be bent.
  22. I am not sure how low you have the car, but check the front brake line to make sure it is clearing the chassis. As on the Starlet, if you lower it enough, the brake line bracket on the damper can come in contact with the brake line bracket on the chassis when the wheel are slightly turn. I doubt that is the case, but worth checking it out as you said it is dependent on the turn of the steering wheel. Other thing to check for is like steering rack, rod end, etc.
  23. Just dropping by and saw this. Check the drop links as that is where alot of time noise come from. Do you have any other suspension mod (Anti-Lift Kit, etc)? The rear use rubber bushes top mount, so normally they don't make any noise. Most of the time noise come from worn bushes, drop links, or just contact with other parts of the car. Check carefully to see if there are anything making contact.
  24. I still find this a bit odd that people things coilover's potential is on the track. I actually find it the opposite that the potential of a suspension is how compliant it is on the roads. It is easy to build a suspension that are pure track use, just make everything stiff and hard. But designing a set of suspension that you can use on the roads everyday and have enough adjustments for track use require a little bit more time. We drive on uneven UK roads 95% of the time, it doesn't make sense to sacrifice all the compliancy and comfort for marginal better performance on the few odd track day
  25. lol... It is an R32 just so you know. As for why the "M3" mirror... it is actually a Mine's Dry Carbon Mirror. The reason I picked that was it is the only useable "REAL" Carbon Electric Mirror available... Everything else are Carbon Look (stickers!)... or so tiny that you might as well not have anything.
