not worth it at all, you'll need £4000 for the car, at least £1500 for insurance for which you'll get no NCB, then you must pay for servicing, MOT, Tax and fuel. then think about stuff like, if your at work/college you gotta get dinner (costs me £5 a day which dosent sound alot but thats £25 a week) then pay board (if you dont have to then your very lucky) then you will want money to be able to go out and buy things like new clothes. at 16/17 its very hard to get paid enough to cover all this so you'll need a very good full time job, when you do a driving lesso

in my previous apprenticeship we did keyskills coursework (if you got c or above in english and maths you are exempt from the exam). its so easy, you just order numbers smallest to largest and add prices up etc lol last year i got my GCSE results C - English Language C - English Literature C - Maths C - R.E C - Double Award Science B - Resistant Materials G - Geography Pass - ICT GNVQ i was only attempting to get C in Maths and English because my head of year told me i was going to fail if i wasnt careful about a month beforehand ;)

You could also get a cheap N/A and buy a Glanza and declare it off the road (if you got the money for one that is) then you can just wait til insurance gets better for it
-
with your dad as the main driver your still looking at about £2000 upwards, and even then you won't earn any NCB so its not worth it if you twang it after passing your test
-
best you'll get is a Glanza S, and even then, it ain't worth getting because you may aswell buy a UK Spec N/A Starlet insurance will be ridiculously high on a Glanza V or GT Turbo i suggest you get a UK Starlet, pass your test and do pass plus and get 1 years No Claims, THEN try get a Glanza
