  1. i done it with a mate in his g6 about a year and a half ago. then we removed the swap anf put a 4age 20v in there. custon loom work it the main issue. we had to make our own loom, which we then sold onto a chap who wanted to do the same project in stoke. you might have seen his car on for sale on Ph not long ago: 4efte converted blue tte corolla. if you're car is a 1.6 then a 20v 4age will be best. this'll also need custom loom work.

  6. nicely spotted mate...it's facing the front at the moment however the pic is out of date. now the whole bay has also been wired tucked etc.
  7. Here's my mate's corolla g6 turbo conversion, that we carried out last November/December time. After feeling the rush for more power run through his veins, he decided to go buy something like a celica gt-four or anything fast, jap and tubo. However, that would have meant a significant increase in road tax cost, fuel, and insurance as compared to what he was paying currently, and he wasn't quite ready to go down that road yet. What was more, he really loved the e11 g6, so he didn't want to get rid of that either... So after careful consideration, he came up with this idea: 'why don't I do a conversion in the g6 rolla' And here is the result, possibly the uk's first 4efte powered e11 corolla: We did all the work ourselves, including all the loom work, thoughout the chilly winter period. The 6 speed box was kept over the 5 speed, as we found it made better use of the power and felt more torquey. Most parts had to be custom made or altered to fit the corolla's engine bay, such as the turbo down pipe and fmic kit. Car ran perfectly for about 6 months before the engine when pop! lol But all the same, it was an awesome car which incorporated the style, comfort and practicality of the e11 corolla with the power of a gt turbo.   11. cheers dave. i can understand what you mean about the newer civics. they're good cars but not my cupa tea either to be frank.
  12. lol a few too many to mention I think! let me see now: integra dc2, astra vxr, vw golfs, civic type r's, scoobys, and the list just goes on and on...only problen with the car is traction, but when it gets it it pulls like a train!

  14. Here's something I completed with a friend in april this year. Still some work left on it in terms of the final map-up, engine work and track-prep. Nevertheless, the car runs fine as a daily drive and track weapon on the weekends. Current spec: *civic eg5 shell *full egk20 conversion kit *k20a2 block + 6 speed gearbox *Apexi type N1 coilovers *jdm ITR LCAs *strut braces (x6) *H brace *4-1 exhaust header *decat *2.5'' full catback system *KnN Typhoon Cold Air Intake System *Hondata K-pro fully programmable ecu *fully stripped rear Still to come before next year: *Custom traction bars *uprated intake system or ITB setup *uprated cams & possible headwork *cusco 2-way lsd or similar *ACT clutch kit *R888s or Yokohama Pradas Car ran a modest 14.1 with oem suspension, 17'' wheels with worn tyres and a stock k20a2 map. Car was also in need of a service and had serious traction problems. Hoping to hit low 13's or even high 12's after all the work has been carried out. It'll probably be around the 250-265bhp power band when all the work's done. Here are some pics of it before the new suspension setup. Body is tatty but It'll be staying that way until all the tuning is done. (pre-wire tuck pic, so don't laugh) So let me know what you guys think of it so far and if you have any questions regarding this conversion then I'll be more than happy to answer them. cheers:)
  15. thanx buddy. on an average condition engines the stock internals can handle 10-11 psi easily, once coupled with some arp headstuds. some even handle more like in the states, but it all depends on who the tuner is... edited: i wouldnt push anything over 11 psi though on a stock engine.
