cheers guys, an thanks for the offer ollie really appreciated. well some news ive dropped the case against him, and im waiting to hear back from him as i told him once the gearbox is fixed (supposed to be today) i expect to be offered the car for the price i won it for, if that doesnt happen then im just gonna let it drop its been a real hassle, and really if it was my money id have just flown down pushed it to the nearest motorway and got the rac out to get it back to mine. but its actually my brother who has the cash and wanted to get this cheap for him so he can try a jap car for a change(

was gonna buy 1 a few years ago, but findin replacement parts is not easy at all, still wanna get 1 as a project though as i just love the look of them

hes just emailed me again, and 1 thing he says is i can get a gearbox for less than 200quid on uksc lol, so ive opened a dispute

just recieved an email, saying the seller is trying to cancel my bid, do i accept??? ehhhh no it also says due to buyer and seller not being in agreement with the terms ad conditions, he put the gearbox is going in to the garage to be fixed on tuesday. so i replied ill pick it up when its fixed then

what really pisses me off is, he put it up for sale yesterday at a quid start with no reserve, what was he expecting, and i seen the car advertised on pistonheads for 3k a few weeks ago

just sent him this message. you could of added that fact at the bottom of the page you can do it whenever, also the starlet gearboxes dont just go usually the syncros on 3rd and 2nd go. also my uncle has a vehicle recovery firm so the gearbox really isnt an issue all you'd have to do is knock 200quid off the price so i can remove the gearbox and replace it.

youve kinda freaked me out charlie, i also had an old ford but was the mk4 xr3i in black had 54k on it wiv 18 owners on it, i used to let my brother drive it as i was 15 at the time, sadly he rolled MY CAR and also ended up on its roof got a picture of it somewhere, its also the same bit of road where 8months previous he wrote off a mk3 xr2i 16v coming in the other direction. i guess old fords when ya push them dont handle to well lol
