A mate of mine Simon@fiske automotive needed a shell for a project, he found it in the hands of a well known (until recently) breaker.
He bought it with the intention of using it for that project, however I showed interest in buying it back, and here we are!

Some ancient members on here may remember me, but I’ve been around starlets since 2002 when I owned my first starlet 1.3 life (Australian import)
i sold that to buy my 98 spec glanza v, as far as I’m aware it was the second 98 spec glanza to be imported into the uk.
i sold it to buy my supra in January 2010
during ownership of the supra I’ve had two daily’s the first was a paseo
the next was a starlet sr that was a glanza rep. Currently owned by Rory off here. (The car was affectionately named tank)
and now I’ve managed to buy back my glanza v.
shes a bit of a wreck, but I hope to get her back on the road in the next year.

Great to see you're giving him some love!

Good to see he's still being cared for
-
Ok I'll try that. Ta.
-
Not sure, do you have a pic of the part number on the side?
-
Needed ASAP if anyone has one

Anyone got a spare starter relay?
-
I'm sure I tried a corolla ecu on my old 4efe starlet and it wouldn't run
Any wiring diagrams floating about of the ep91 n/a?
I don't really want to rip the loom apart, but I'm almost out of options...
-
I haven't changed the relay itself as there's 12v coming out of it when you turn the key, and 12v arriving at the starter when you turn the key also.
Hadn't thought of changing the ecu, haven't got a spare to try however, I may have a go at changing the relay just in case it's not delivering the amps required, but short of that, all I can think of is bypassing the key and fitting a starter button and running all new cables and relay to make it fire.
The car aslo has a cobra cat 1 alarm, however it only cuts the fuel, not the ability to turn the engine over, so it can't be that.
Is the starter system in any way linked through any other circuits? Knowing what toyotas like it's probably linked to something retarded.

So if I don't fix this issue I'm just gonna end up having an ep91 shaped bonfire, because I'll set the b*****d alight if it keeps this up. So please someone tell me what I'm missing?
Had starting issues with my ep91 sr a few months back, would bump start fine, however the car wouldn't crank, I can just hear a 'tick' behind the glovebox when you turn the key (I'm assuming that's the location of the starter relay).
So I've had this issue with a few other cars before generally it's a starter solenoid, so I bought a rebuild kit and swiftly changed it over, after the install I bench tested the starter with a battery and some jump leads and it spun up first time. Result, or so I thought.
Having reinstalled it, it still won't turn over, or even engage the solenoid, so I assume the battery is probably a bit low, so I've changed that over, still no luck.
I tried jump starting off a running car (delivering 14.4v) still nothing.
So next port of call was to check the live, trigger wire, and the earths off the motor, all seem fine, including the trigger wire that's delivering 12v when the key is turned.
Next I decided to add three fair sized (4 gauge) earth straps off the battery to various places across the engine, body and one directly onto the bolts that hold the starter, (hoping to give it the best chance of earthing) plus another cable of the same size from the battery to the positive on the starter. Still nothing.
I've checked all fuses, I've tried a spare key (thinking it may be some form of immobilisation) still nothing.
What am I missing?
Apart from petrol and matches.

I dunno, I just miss the stock n/a front end.
Anyone got a white n/a that fancies swap over? Money my way obviously.

Bump
Looking for something £30-£40ish
-
pm'd
-
Looking for some cheap as chips lowering springs, what have you got?
-
Front bumper is good with no damage, has the usual stone chips, will come with yellow fogs no idea what they go for tbh I'll have a look and pm you
-
I have my glanza rep that was once my daily, I've been toying with the idea of returning it to stock na front end or jdm spec na front end.
I've been out of the game a while now, so I'm not sure what price these items tend to go for? I'll need a bonnet, bumper and headlights. Bonnet and bumper in 040 white.
Also what am I looking at being able to sell my glanza bonnet 96 spec bumper (with stock front lip) and headlights for?

To be fair I do see where rob is coming from here. (No disrespect to anyone else on here but this is just my opinion)
I'm also active on the mkiv supra forum, and this rarely happens on there now. Because of the cost of parts are a lot higher on there, certain members were on the lookout for cheap parts, they'd buy them, and re-list them a month or two later at more money. The mods took a dislike to this and there has since been a clampdown on people doing it.
I think when rob is talking about the scene, he means gone are the days of forum members being honest/helping each other out, and I'm sorry to say, I have to agree, it does appear that a lot of members on here are more interested in making money than helping they're fellow comrades. (considering I've been active on this forum since it was first started way back in 2003/4?)
I remember two separate instances back in the early days where I needed parts (a stock exhaust and a shock absorber from memory) and as these were just considered throw away parts, all previous members wanted was postage for them, and I have done exactly the same in the past also.
I'm afraid to report that now-a-days this is not the case, I had been on a lookout for a stock Glanza exhaust for 2 years, plenty of owners still have them, but most (even though they never plan on using them again) want anywhere from £50 to £100 for them. Which is madness, one guy responded to me saying he'd just binned his but he'd still want £60 for it.
I also back in the day remember a gt turbo shell free for collection, this was a fairly regular thing to see on here (even though the costs of gt turbos were much higher back then) but you regularly see car shells up for sale for a few hundred quid now.

well i got it fitted today! and i must say, it sounds great!
also took the opportunity to take some pics too.
hope you like!
Here's a video of the sound!
Treated myself to a new headunit, I've been running the old pioneer avh 5900 DVD for ages, and decided to got for the pioneer appradio3, fitted it the other day, and well happy with it!
also (a little unrelated, but is part of the history!) took her on holiday earlier in the year, and made a little video log of the trip, along with some car related visits!
-
So to celebrate nearly 5 years of ownership thought I'd give the supra a couple of little treats!
So I'd been on the hunt for a new exhaust for my na for a while, as since I've had it it's had a blitz nur spec s rear box, and I fitted a cw first decat.
Unfortunately the stock (with no boxes) midsection is looking pretty tired, so I knew a new exhaust would be on the cards.
So I bought a kakimoto cat back from a member on here, (initially I wasn't sure what it was, but after some research I'd discovered it was a kakimoto) it had a few battle scars, but seemed ok, however on closer inspection all of the baffling was missing from the rear scilencer
So after a text to the seller, he kindly agreed to fund the work to get it sorted:thumbs:
So I gave it a cleanup anyway in preparation of getting it sorted
So I took the rear silencer to a local company who I'd seen had very good reviews called flow dynamics in Bletchley, spoke to dan who was a top bloke, and left the rear section with them, got a message the next morning telling me it was all done, and recieved these pictures!
Dead chuffed :trampoline: would highly reccomend flow dynamics, as after a chat with dan I discovered that they make manifolds, and even work with titanium!
I also yesterday re-instated its identity...
Couldn't find a original plate for it, so used a sticker as a mask and sprayed it on with high heat paint.

Definitely not a new member...

Yeah it’s what it deserves, I’m just glad Simon saved it for me.
just used spray cans mate, it’s not a mega long lasting finish but I used to change it every year so it didn’t matter.
Yeah when I got the first starlet it was 5 years old I think.it was pretty mint anyway. But yes, my first is no longer on the road unfortunately.
