  1. i now have the settings!!!

these i got from my sun 4wa machine (well, not mine, more like where i work :p )

    EP82 (uk non-turbo)

    min pref. max

    caster: 0deg 40mins 1deg 25mins 2deg 10mins

    camber: -1deg -0deg 15mins 0deg 30mins

    SAI: 12deg

    indivdual

    toe: -0deg 03mins 0deg 03mins 0deg 09mins

    total toe: -0deg 06mins 0deg 06mins 0deg 18mins

all front measurements, no rear info im afraid, i think its because its all torsion beam or they didn't have the info at the time

  2. Ooooooo i like those new wheels your getting, seen a green GT with them wheels on, how much they set you back?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

decided last night i'm gonna get just black, no polished lip. going for subtle look. seen black wheels on a black evo 7 and it looks menacing!!!

they are gonna set me back £620 with tyres (Toyo T1R). i am also having black center caps (£4.99) and possibly black lightweight wheel nuts (£3.00 each x 12= £36) if i can find black locking wheel nuts

  3. very nice. what intercooler is that? i'm not sure on the pipes coming out underneath the bumper though

loving you choice of wheels, i was planning a polished outer lip set for mine and i will have to get them. they look sweet on yours!

  4. as i seen a few (!) people are planning to go to the 'pod' on the 13th may, we may as well have a south west list so we all can convoy so none of us get lost

a few people on toyotagtturbo.com suggested meeting in bristol so any ideas for a meeting point would be grand

add your names if you are going

  5. I got one because there rare and no one has one, plus im working for toyota so get cheap(free) stuff for it and fix it no problem :o

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

me too!!!! :p well, i don't work for toyota anymore but they are so simple to work on plus i got on well with the parts dept. so i still get staff discount :o

  6. what is your vehicle? turbo?

does it feel like you have hit a wall? (i wouldn't know :p but you will know what i mean)

if its a turbo, its fuel cut

according to ecksjay, its common knowledge but apart from my theory, no one had a answer

try fitting a FCD (fuel cut defender) and keep an eye on the boost

  7. what model have you got?

on my old EP91 and my current EP82, the front indicators came out if you remove the screw and tap the housing with the palm of your hand towards the front of the car, they should come out. some force may be required

as a EP91 is different to a EP82, i need to know what you got to tell you how to remove the rears

  8. i was having a bit of a think on the fuel cut situation, people know how to cure it but im struggling to find a cause

who here has fitted a performance exhaust to their car?

my car wouldn't cut until i upgraded the exhaust. my theory is that with a free flowing exhaust, the turbo is soppling up quicker with less resistance (hence the increase in BHP) therefore the boost is increasing as a result.

i know they are very inaccurate, but my boost gague on the combination meter goes off the scale at high boost and goes past 50% on low boost as much as 75%

if anyone knows different, please correct me but i'm just voicing an idea

  9. get a proper mechanic on it ie. me!

    only kiddin shaun

i like your style of bodging. as long as it works, its all good

did you find out what that bit of metal was from sunday?

  10. thanks for all your advice on my suspension problems

i have decided to buy a set of D2 coilovers as tein springs+ koni shocks work out not much cheaper than coilovers

when they are fitted, i want to realign my suspension

as i work for a honda main dealer, i have instant access to the 4 wheel alignment machine.

looked up all the cars it has saved on the system. it has the UK EP81 (non turbo) but no EP82

I would ask my local toyota main dealer. but i know they have the same machine with the same settings as i worked there for 4 years!!!! (my apprentiship)

i also couldn't get an answer from toyota GB when i phoned them

Civic type R settings are different from the 3 dr sport but they have the same suspension so i figure its different for the starlet

  11. i think i will try 40mm as i will buy tein springs. i have seen them for £140

good point on the dampers, i have seen koni ones for sale on fensport's site. anyone used them?

they need to be good as i'm hoping to go to castle combe in april as a shakedown for the nurburgring in august

  12. I'm planning to fit 16" wheels to my EP82

bodywork is standard but what is a good lowering size to use so the car doesn't too high and not 'boy racer' low?

atm i think it sits too high but 16" wheels will look odd standard
