Lenses, drivers headlight, throttles
Blue Icarian Wings replied to Blue Icarian Wings's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
One is from a 98 Solida, the other is from a 97 Sportif, and have different plug layouts. The Solida one was a straight swap for SR rev counter clocks. The Sportif required to move wires around in the wiring loom plugs. I think they are same warning light wise. If I get a chance I'll take a closer look tonight, try and measure the big TB too, think it might have come from an old celica. -
Carat style rear lights (Jap spec)
Blue Icarian Wings replied to Blue Icarian Wings's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
Well thanks for posting I suppose! I was the first to get them, but never got around to fitting them, then somebody called Badger fitted them in blue before me. Maybe I should finally fit them to mine, they stock passenger side is cracked. -
I still, although it's the second car for the wife now! Still giving good reliable service though Eyelids The first guy to ask about them has a Glanza, and I'm waiting on others to respond if they have NA's. If they don't get back to me by weds, I'll sell them to whoever offers me the most (over £10 of course!) by weds evening, get your blind bids in. Apexi Filter Saw a new one on ebay last night for £40, so I've lowered my price to £20

No interest unsurprisingly! This lot is going to the tip / recycle bin in the next few days if nobody wants any of it. Last chance etc. -
Payment note As I'm just looking to get rid of stuff I can't be bothered losing cash to paypal. So cash on pickup, cheques through the post, or 4% extra (after postage costs) if you want to use paypal. Location: Preston, North West England For Sale: OEM Carat Rear Lights in silver Item Condition: Bought and never fitted, as new in their Toyota boxes Extra Info: Painted in silver by Toyota to match my Starlet. Will require a bit of bumper trimming. Pictures: Price and Conditions: £200 (for the pair) (I believe this what they owe, and may be cheaper than buying them new anyway!) £26.6

Lot of interest for the eyebrows! (should of charged more!) Also I did mess up the info for the eyebrows, sorry. Updated to state:- These are for the NA Starlet and not the Glanza. Dry-fit pictures They are shaped to fit over the front and edge of the headlights, with a flat flap for the indicator. If anybody who has seen NA and Glanza headlights together could comment on how the top profiles compare that'd be great!

I'll consider offers as I'm more interested in selling stuff than just binning it, but it needs to be worth my time to send! Postage note I'll be using the Royal Mail guidelines for postage costs. I'm using non-tracked 2nd class post here to keep the costs down, willing to use tracked if you want. If you buy multiple bits I combine postage to keep costs down. You mean the little square ones? should do. Also check your car manual for a tip on how to change them (think it's in the changing bulbs bit)

I got a JVC something from halfords, about 2yrs ago, it had a flame design front panel, can't remember the RMS output but it's decent, also plays MP3 CDs and has sub-out cables, and a port for a CD changer (can be an aux-in with an adapter) was £80 Get a decent brand, before that I got a £50 no-name made in china job, usb port was nice, but it didn't remember where you stopped paling on MP3's, then it stopped palying CD's, and ate my favourite CD So don't skimp too much.

Strange, your sure you got it wired in correctly? not got the wire reversed for the tacho (although I'm sure you've already checked it to death)

Do your indicators work? While I was fitting the stereo to my misses car I ended up going for a drive with the hazard switch disconnected. Stopped all the indicators working although it took till I was half-way there to realise (on a big round-about) there wasn't the usual ticking noise that goes with the indicators think the little green arrows nay of been off too. So check all connections are good though you've probably done that already, but the circuit does run-through/need the hazard switch

Where does your speedo needle point when your cars still?
Blue Icarian Wings replied to Idrees's topic in Interior & ICE
I believe mine points at zero, take off the clear cover and you can push the needle anti-clockwise until it gets to zero where you want it -
We have electric fans, so there is no fan belt,........... If you mean the cambelt, I got the garage to do mine. I don't how they did it but they needed to take a wheel off for sum reason

Fiddling with the stereo is a distraction, you tap buttons but your keeping your hands free. If you need too you can just dump the stereo to deal with a surprise, you can't drop a cig in the car, your either a hand down or even more distracted afterwards trying to stop your crotch catching fire ;) I see quite a few people people who don't seem to aware of the 'new' law about mobiles either, tempted to start taking pics with my mobile to shop 'em but I think that would be missing the point,........

Starlet Sportif to Toyota Paseo Clock conversion
Blue Icarian Wings replied to Monkey's topic in Interior & ICE
Here's something on fitting Paseo clocks into Tercel's, the wiring diagram on the pics matched miracles wiring spreadsheet, so Paseo clocks are the same as SR clocks When I fitted them to my Solida (Elec windows, central locking CD player), it was a case of plug and play When I fitted them to my g/f's Sportif (manual windows, Tape deck), I had to move wires around This is a copy and paste from the spreadsheet (I'll host somewhere or I can e-mail it around if people want) If paste it into excel it should line itself up correctly (*EDIT* it's removed the tabs so it won't play, bugger) no Descr -
I've gathered from here, that early ep91 brakes are small and attached to the hub, later ones are on calliper-carriers, so will require matching hubs if you want stick them on the early ep91's. The later ep91 brakes are the same as Glanza ones. The rear disc brakes from Glanza/GT Turbo's can be put straight on. Levin ones can be done but are a pain (same size disc but wider I believe?). Recommended upgrade is disc and pads, followed braided brake lines then master-cylinder brace. There are guides here and on TGTT about changing bits and swapping them over. Can't think of any problems that j

You need to make sure it's got E-series bellend, so it'll match upto your engine (will the one already on the car fit?) Also looking forward to knowing how you get on, I have heard it's six gears covering the same range of our five (was hoping it'd be 5+1 more )
