  2. i know mate should be sorted today. just need to bear the rain and cold again. the wee mans gettin his 1st car for xmas lol got him a big electric ferrari lol from ages 5+, hes only 9 months haha
  3. ask nick if he can map dastek and ill come with you and get mines mapped at the same time. just fitted enzos new gtspec B hybrid, had a bit of trouble getting the oil feed on so will get that sorted in the morning. ill pm you my num. will come over when i can for a perv at that kit

  5. turbo is on:D working in the dark and in the pissing rain, was using the headlights from my van for light lol, just couldnt get the oil feed fitted properley it seems to be bent and the stream of water that was running all over me under the car was just getting 2 much to handle along with bieng pissed off not getting it finished. taking a day off work 2moz to finish and go for a wee drive (after i renew my tax) also missed my sons first steps as i was working on it:((
  6. its not the dastek im worrrying about its dastek themselves. ill go have a word with them next week and then ill decide. on a good note though, I've just had my hangover cure (full english)and im going to fit the new turo soon as i pick somthing up
  7. depends how quickly your turbo is spooling and the ct9 spools up quick then your getting a bit of boost creep hence hitting fuel cut. So its not all down to rev range
  8. id doubt it had anything to do with fuel system cleaner. more than likley a bit of milld boost creep. get a boost gauge and in the meantime dont rag it or youll keep hitting fuelcut and if you see the engine managment light come off the throttle and you wont hit fuel cut. fuelcuts a pain in the ass but its there for a reason, to protect your engine
  9. last time i drove my starlet the sun was shining mate lol but it happens with all turbo cars some worse than others. do you have an adjustable actuator? you could turn the boost downa bit. do you have an open air filter on the car? you could restrict that a bit

  11. boost restriction might not make a difference mate. if it is fuel cut its than likley to be due to the cold weather. your turbo likes cold air and as more colder air is bieng drawn in you could be getting some boost creep. buy yourself a boost guage it should be the first mod on every turbo car
  12. i remember i had a clio years ago and was driving along the motor way then my drivers side window suddenly dissapeard. i thought what the fuck! got the door card off and a tiny yellow plastic thing that holds the window on the regulator had snapped. went to renault and they wanted 140 quid for it! for a tin bit of plastic
  13. i know mate, its just finding some1 who can map dastek. i was originally going to fit my greddy bcc and rrfpr and may still do so but the dastek was a cheap option that came up and seems to have worked well with a few starlets running decent power I've found while searching on here and tgtt. emb would be my ideal choice but I've spent a lot of money the last few weeks and with xmas around the corner i cant afford to spend much more on the car
  14. update! baught geos new gt spec b hybrid. looks awsome. need to bear the freezing cold 2moz to fit it, also picked up a dastek unichip but im having second thoughts about it i mite just fit my rrfpr and greddy boost cut controller and wind it to a bar and buy some other management later not sure yet. will add pics when fitted cant wait now. cars been off the road for about 4 months now!!!!!!!

I've been speaking with a few well knowen companys the last couple of days and they have been arguing with me saying blitz and jam ecus can be remapped and some other companies telling me to go for an omex system or somthing and 1 idiot was talking about a hybrid i had rebuilt and he said japanese turbos cantr be rebuilt as yoiu cant balance them 1ce theyv been opened haha and these guys wanted to map my car lol

  17. i dont think ther is a problem with the piggyback i think its just the mappers to be honest. can russel map dastek?
  18. every turbo car needs a boost guage. it doesnt sound like fuel cut to me. when you hit fuel cut your engine management light will come on then your car will stutter like a missfire. did it do that do a search on here how to do a diagnostic check its really easy and could tell you your problem.
  19. i dont really want to take any chances i will travel to have it mapped but i dont know of anyone else who can map it

  22. just baught 1 of these for the glanza but ive heard nothing but bad things about dasteks mappers, does anyone know of anyone else who can do it? also anyone using 1 can you shed any light on it. i know it offers just about the same features as emb. was hoping to have it mapped with the new hybrid next week but im having second thoughts now
