u may aswell push the boat out for a forged lump if u can afford it. as for the gains it wouldnt really matter. it means you have a solid base to start from when u want to go chasing big bhp u can still run a forged engine with standard turbo set up etc. if i wasnt selling my car id have gone forged without thinking 2ce

i know how your feeling mate same thing happened to me a little over a month ago. IT was the day after the mot. she was getting the new mot for the person who was lined up to buy her! i managed to pick up a lower milage engine and gary (GBR motorsport) off here fitted it for me for a great price. i spent a lot of money getting the car back up to scratch and shes back up for sale now. hope all goes well with the new engine mate! let us know how u get on

Cat? i thought u said your turbo was hanging off lol. Is it at the right hand side of the turbo on the exhaust side thats came loose? or at the top of the turbo where it joins to the manifold? if its the cat its nothing to worry about, mines used to do that. the bolts came loose all the time. get some new nuts and put them on tight then put an extra nut on each bolt and twist both nuts into each other and it will lock them on

im not sure what you mean mate there are 4 bolts holding your turbo on are they all loose? dont dismiss it because you had a look at pics on google mate, have a good look at it and make sure its not leaking or its bye bye engine! the oil feed is a small flange thats bolted onto the bottom of the turbo with a skinny little metal pipe that goes to the block next to the oil filter and a thicker rubber hose that goes to the sump.
