its just starlets in general are silly money to insure i bought a toyota trueno fwd with a 4age 20valve black top engine about 150/160 bhp standard and it was only 150 quid more on my insureance im 20 with 3 years NCB

thanks amjad they are so much fun to drive scary at times put the foot down in 3rd going up a hill and it will just start to spin the wheels up at about 4 k rpm all the way to 8 k and the change in exhaust note when vvti kicks in sounds awsome

thanks guys its came a long way in the 3 years i have had the car and still a long road ahead of us yet, but this week has seen all the bits in the cabin i wanted welded in and stiched welded all done, we will make the custom seat mounts and then paint the interior gloss black floor and VXR blue for the cage and brace, then its onto the engine bay stich weld in there smooth off all the factory spot welds and get rid of everything that is not needed replace some factory items with lighter items, then paint the engine bay,

if you had a well set up vvti system it would be close betwen vtec and vvti

my heaters are awsome car takes like 5 mins to get up to temp then my feet melt all 3 of my starlets so far have been the same great heaters

yea it is a bit like Vtec but wouldnt kick in just as hard as Vtec if that makes sense still picks up well when it comes on tho

will let you take it out phil it is quite nippy for the size of it

will need to change to FTE flywheel to fit FTE clutch

none yet once its road worthy rear window and taxed will get one up

super strut which is great handling but once any noises come into it we are doing the macpherson conversion turns out it isnt a trd brace just a standard 1 with a trd sticker lol

Well last tuesday alan_e and myself made a joint purchase of another project, we decide on this car for the following reasons 1. its a toyota 2. you see none of them over here 3. has a pretty good spec with it 4. we got it for a steal aswell, and i mean properly stroked the guy haha. it is a bit rough round the edges but nothing that a short period in our care wont fix it needs a rear window which we are getting this week for £20 a good buff and polish and the back bumper and boot lid painted and the wheels changed but it is awsome its a 1.6 VVTI engine which has roughly 150/160BHP standard we got the car with the following mods TRD oil filter TRD thermostat TRD strut brace Iridium sparks magnecore spark leads ITBs with Ram pipes HKS 4-1 manifold HKS Hi-flow silent exhaust Air con removed toda cams Adjustable cam pulley (toda) recently got both aux belts changed when air con was removed new distributor cap and rotor arm Exeddy organic clutch EBC greenstuff front pads 50% Genuine Toyota rear pads just recently fitted Super Pro front anti roll bar bushs Sparco race steering wheel TRD gear knob mint interior with genuine Trueno floor mats pictures what you guys think?
