  1. im tempted to go over, but to be honest... as watching the real hustle has taught me, "if its too good to be true... it probably is!" i`ll stick to my policy im on now, i`ll end up saving in the long run, i bet if i renewed with them it would be 1k+ next year for me with a crash declared... much cheaper for me to stick but it is a really good deal.. just too good haha
  2. i got a similar price for mine, £156 though.. i wonder.. is it a new years thing?
  3. ahh, same happened to me, was going down the hill from ours turning out the junction i put the tinyest push on the gas pedal in 2nd wheels spun abit went onto the breaks slowly and the car locked going sideways lol! good job i used my brain and turned the wheels so they were facing the kerb, no damage thank god but was quite scary, hating black ice!
  4. mine came the other day
  5. such a gorgeous motor!

    Electrics

Ive checked all the fuses, the actual wire has melted onto another which ive separated its better for a professional to do it, my expertise stops when i go deeper and will eventually i`ll end up destroying the car somehow.. nope ive been told its my exhaust i`ll get a vid and pics of the carnage soon lol.. thanks for the reply guys

yeah i suppose, right off the top off my head, -exhaust (rattling a lot!) -electricts (also the wires that connect to the stereo look like they have tampered with before i bought the car, taped them up with electrical tape -think the heater controls aren't switching, might need some reconnecting/messing around behind the dash.

    Electrics

thats sounds great if you could want it all working again, but there is quite abit wrong, dont think it`ll be worth attempting to fix the car it if it`ll all cost about 400-500 overall :/ if it comes below that it would be great

    Electrics

heh, sounds good to me not too much money to fix it then im guessing, i think theres more than 1 short though... i`ll see what money i can gather, it`ll be after new years now until i can get it sorted out, ill consider bringing it down to you mate. im gunna see how much the exhaust will cost to fix really soon aswell its making a horrible rattle, dont wanna have to sell it yet lol

    Electrics

Nope theres been nothing in the actual plug, and its not even connected thats how i got it all working before, some of the wires from the fuse were melted, i separeted them best i could but i think theres more problems in the actual loom behind the dash :/ thanks

So, basically my fuse for the cigarette lighter has the radio/cig lighter/clock on the same thing, its kinda short circuited and i dont know where, im just wondering is it worth me taking the dash out and ruining it, or a better idea to get it sorted out professionally and how much would it set me back? there are quite a few things wrong its just leading me toward getting a new starlet :/ but i really dont want to if there might be some way of salvaging this which is cheaper than buying another starlet! thanks guys

    Cat :(

well had quite a sad end to a nice night after playing 2 games of footy in a row then driving home came off the 60 limit into llandulas not too far from mine, me and my mate saw the car that was 2 places infront of us hit something and just carried on driving the other cars swerved to avoid it, i noticed a cat proper having a fit so we turned around to see if it was alive atleast and parked infront of it and put the hazard lights on to stop any other traffic going near it, the poor thing was dead, we went to a few houses and one of them gave us a box so with my plastic bags i put on my hands i put the cat (which was dead unfortunatly poor thing) in the box which was hard and felt awful but i couldnt leave it in the road, and we left a note attatched on the box. it just made us think how can 3 cars including the one that hit the poor thing just drive off, if it was my cat i would be fuming, well we did ask around a few houses and went to the local pub asking but no luck just thought we should at least try and find the cats owners because i would want someone to atleast attempt to look for me if it was mine, i just hope the poor animal didnt suffer the cat had no collar or anything so was kinda hard and we didnt know where to start. r.i.p
  15. Yeah i am, got a new heater matrix to put in (thanks to gary) the car came like this when i bought it, i was just wondering if they are the right pipes as i dont wanna mess around, want to get it right first time
  16. Right guys and gals, if anyone can help me im in two minds wether or not to do this myself, i have had a look on google and tried to find other forum guides to replacing the heater matrix etc i found on another website that there is a part that should be connected in the engine bay (pic) i had a look at my car, i think that the pipes have been connected together so that it doesnt go through the matrix so the car runs but no heating i took a quick pic, its gone quite dark now and my phone has REALLY low battery sorry for the shite quality ive kinda highlighted it so you should make things out? just need help to confirm or see if my thoughts are completely wrong sorry for my crap picture was kinda rushed but any help would be appreciated thanks a lot guys! will be donating next pay day aswell
