the cats in now, just need to fit gaskets between both of the flanges to stop it blowing out a bit. Ive heard its essential on all 1994+ cars to have a cat. But i was told it shud pass without as it is low on emissions anyway

I have a full stainless steel exhuast on my sr, with a bolt in cat/straight pipe. Ive taken the str8 piece out and put the cat back in ready for mot, But the car sounds completly shit and is far slower with it in. Ive heard that starlets can pass the emissions test with the cat out, can anyone tell me if this is DEFINATLY true, as if it fails im off the road and i NEED MY CAR

i definatly hope its real. Fair enough you can get SOME sensible drivers, but 9 out of 10 of drivers who jus pass their test think they are on a race track. In northern ireland we have a sticker the same as an L sticker that must be put onto the front and rear windows, for one year after passing the test. I i would also approve of the age being raised to 18 untill you can drive. Let the backlash commence

i just took the bolt off, put a drop of oil over the thread where the bolt was, then unbolted the 3 bolts on the inside of the wiper motor. Then tried to use the back of a claw hammer to prise the wiper arm off the bolt but it wouldnt shift. Then hit the actual top of the screw thread with a hammer to help it loosen then gripped the wiper and moved it from left to right to free it up, and finally it came off. At the minute i have the old rubber from the wiper arm in the boot lid, and im gonna put a bit of silecon sealant to stop any water getting into the boot Thing is i HAD no choice but

Finally got round to removing the rear wiper today, but by the time i got into my local car accesories place they had closed. Tried halfords but they only have 25mm gromets and need about 35mm Anyone know the exact size of the gromet needed, and where to get one from

got my 3g brakes today in the post, can someone plerase post a step by step guide to replacing the discs. I changed my own pads last time so i know how to do them, just the discs i need talked through.

Finally getting round to upgrading the front brakes but i dunno whats the best set up to go for I can get mintex discs and pads for about £110 delivered 3g drilled and grooved discs and mintex xtreme pads for £155 delivered or gt starlet front brake set up for £160 fitted. need to know pretty soon, as the girlfriend is buying me the brakes for my birthday which is in just over a week

i removed the bolt under the plastic cap, and removed the 3 gold screws from the motor, but the part where the actual screw goes through the boot i cant seem to get out. its never been touched since the day the car was made and im guessing its stuck in place. id didnt wanna start forcing anythin i wasnt sure about

since the motors packed in, theres no point having the wiper there any more, not that i ever used it. Ive had a look and removed the nut under the plastic guard where it goes into the boot lid, but from the inside i cant find any way to release it through the boot lid anyone able to help
