been out trying to finish my n/a so i can get it sold and got the brakes on and put some oil in and had a little test. starts fine like straight away and then idles for around 6 seconds at about 700 ish n then just dies. a fair bit of smoke from exhaust but it hasnt been started in ageeeeees. a list of where all the pipes go to the throttle body would be appreciatted also as there are a couple im not sure off. thanks. the other breather u got is the pcv valve. from the rocker cover to the inlet manifold. that closes under boost.

yeh i read alot of reviews etc first and the petrol seemed the better choice. sooo glad i never bot a diesel now tho. would have died to come on here for g to say that the headgaskets gonna die lol. meh powersteerin ill just have to go to the gym when it stops working haha.

toyota auris sr . picked it up yesterday all good apart from i noticed this almost positive it wasnt there when i looked round the car both times as i noticed it pretty quick walkin past it last night. also it got the supaguard coatin done and the scuff doesnt look like its had any coating over it. so gonna go back to toyota tomorrow and ask if they have a record of any damage to the vehicle plus it was never pointed out to me if there was. see how i get on. will be majorly unpleased if they try to blame me lol.

sounds like ther doing what they should. yeh bent shaft isnt a good thing. id say if its obviosuly bent its worth replacing anyway. nothing worse than an annoying noise.

em only thing i can think is if the inner cv was busted that maybe one of the bearing had collapsed or something. overlooked the bit where u said it looked dodgy

well yeh theres nothign apart from the cv boot and the hub that holds it inside the cup bit in the box. was the cv boot burst that it just came of or something . noise sounds like cv joint as mine does the same. not as bad as you think tho a new cv joint isnt expensive but id wait for a better opinion first
