I have a pair of brackets spare for a 98 bumper p.m. me if your interested
-
You could drill the tail gate and put some nutserts in there then attatch it with some nice dome head allen bolts from Pro bolt that would look pretty tidy mate and be nice and secure on track.
-
Also it will need to take hot oil so be careful you have the correct rated hose
-
Advan RCII 16x7 ET28 ish
-
Yeah i think thats the standard EP71 spoiler by the looks of it, how much is that going for, I cant bloody make heads nor tails of that website with all that jap text lol!!
5000 yen starting bid
1500-2000 yen shipping to agent in Japan
500 yen auction fee
1000 yen agent fee approx
Then you have shipping from your chosen agent to you, maybe a paypal fee and vat, tax and parcelfocre's fee if you get caught on import

Something like this mate:
-
Have you got stock pulleys on it or lightweight ones?
-
Change the belt they are only a few quid, it's probally a bit loose and when you put the extra load on the alternator it's making it slip. The only other thing it could be is the bearings in the alternator itself but you would usualy hear them all the time.

I run a greddy cooler as it came on one of the glanza's i brought it's not a huge core but cools very well and fits perfectly
-
That box is weak though and all you have is an extra gear within the same ratio's might be useful for an NA vith a very narrow power band but other than that i can see the point in it.
-
all the starlets are eithrer being rebuilt or.off the road because the drivers are scared of.a bit.of water
Go look at a similar aged honda and see if it still has any rear arches left!
Most of us take them off the road due to salt, i've taken mine off the road because i want to get it painted thats the only reason it's off the road..
-
that tidy box thing is cool, where does that fit to mate?
Number 22 on here mate:

The honda engine was designed to run 200hp from the factory, the starlet engine 130hp thats a fiar difference.
If your looking to nearly double the stock power you have to expect with an engine of this age that it is going to want some work.
As i said over on TGTT all the starlets are gettting old cars now and the chassi will never be as good a honda thanks to the back end the IRS is much better than the starlet bean axle.
If you want modern boost consider a megan 225

Must get this lot sorted there is half of a Glanza on there
-
A few parts i have been gathering from Japan tuned up today
My HKS F-con was missing the front plate and one popped up on the auctions so i had that:
Then i'd been looking for a few more optional extras and these came up....
Front passenger tidy box:
These are not the EP91 rear cup holders but will fit better as i have an arm rest too which you cannot have with the EP91 specific ones:

Hou or John can you send me details of the hotel your using been thinking about this
-
You need one from the same year car mate there are at least 2 different types check the plugs on the back
-
Dave had one like this it's to do with the grove for the c-clip being machined too deep, sure they ended up cutting the cup off to get the diff out then i'm not sure what he did. i think they took the diff apart but might have taken it to Quaife themselves.
-
This is all included within the dash loom and door looms, i do however have the plug from the back of the switch with 10cm of wire and a pair of door looms if you are interested from that you should be able to make your own loom up.
-
It's factory and rare too black/grey is the more common two tone but there was a green/gold and burgandy/gold
-
Mike i was going to run one of these but then spoke to tuning developements who said that the only timing belt they have had snap was one of these! Could have just been a bad belt or something not right on that engine but would think you will be fine with an OE belt.

Differences between the pre face lift and facelift are:
Different front bumpers
Different rear lights
Clear front indicators
Clear rear brake light in spoiler
Red needles on the instrument cluster
Different carpet
Different headlining
Different seats and the rear seats are split folding
All the facelifts had passenger air bag
Facelits had the hi/low turbo button near the electric window switch it's on the center consol on the 96-97

Like the TTE wheels will look nice in white.
I'm on 16x7 ET28 and had to have an arch roll at the rear for that
