Quick bit of advice. Sort out the over boosting problem as it will start damaging your engine. Could be the reason if your going through spark plugs. As for your problem. Markoos had the same problem recently. Turned out it was the spark plugs so check them first. The reason his went was because of water getting down the scoop and down into the spark plugs. Just an idea bud .

Did i mention i've just moved out . Defi's are like the price of a house. Maybe sometime in the future . Anyway i've been given a few ideas of what it could be like the actual sensor itself or a bad earth in the engine bay. Im going to have a look tomorrow if the weather is any better. I was supposed to be going to Sheffield agan today but i couldn't be bothered as im shattered. If anyone comes up with any ideas give us a shout. Bourkey

Before starting plan every tiny detail of the swap. I spent a year planning my swap and i got it done in less than 2 and a half days. It actually took us 21 hours to do over the weekend. I would change the actuator as Asda said but an Electronic Boost Controller is what you want to go with it other wise you will be creeping to fuel cut. I would port the wastegate whilst the engine is out as it will stop your boost creeping. Close the wastegate and draw round it. Then port it to 2mm (i think) away from the line . Bourkey

Right, Just been to Sheffield and back via Snake Pass . On the way there my temperature needle dropped quite a bit due to me having the heaters blasting away. After turning the heaters off it went back to normal. A few more miles down the road and the needle was bouncing up and down all the time. One second it was reading normal temperature then it is sat at the bottom like the car is off. Then it shoots back to normal again. It was doing it all the way back from Sheffield as well. Then on the motorway it read zero again and stayed there for about ten minutes and went back to normal again. Ca

Same thing may be happening with the engines i get. The price went up earlier this year due to fuel costs but instead of going down again when fuel prices dropped it has had to stay up. He has warned me there may be a price increase. Economy here has gone to pot. Bourkey

I did my swap on the driveway. My dad wasn't happy about it at first as im not very organised with tools. I just use them and put them down where i like. He did get interested and helped out though in the end. Funny thing is i should really listen to him about the tool things. I've left spanners in the engine bay before and they have dropped out while i have been driving. Funny as hell . Bourkey

You send off a magical part of the Log book that you fill in when making changes to the car eg colour or engine etc. Then you try and get it insured. I can't rememebr my insurance company but I had to change due to Directline not being able to insure it. It pretty much doubled the price of the insurance as well. Definately worth every penny . I hope Honda can ride out the economic storm as even though we are usually against the Vtec crowd, they are technically very good cars. Anyone see that new car they have released on Top Gear. Nothing but water out of the exhaust. That is pretty dam amazing really. Even though im a petrol head it is a step in the right direction for all the people who use their cars as a workhorse. Mine is merely a weekend toy now. I car share with the girlfriend during the week. Bourkey
