Nice selection of rides there bud. I have always had a soft spot for the EP71. My engine builder has put a few 5EFTE's in them and says they will lose all hot hatches. They have no weight to them even when they have all the seats in. And a DC5 OH MY OH MY!!!!!!!!!! This is in my top 5 of my all time favourtite cars. OH!!!!!!! Bourkey

Well if your used to not having power steering in the car then ditch it . You will see a good improvement as the engine has less work to do so it can concentrate on making you go faster . Bourkey

Get rid of the air con but leave the power steering. Trust me it is rock hard without it. You will see some form of improvement as well. The air con is powered by a belt so even when it is off it is sapping power and torque from your engine. Not much when it's off but every little bit counts. it's the torque where you mainly see the difference. Me and Markoos took the a/c out of his car and he said it was a good difference. I don't have it so i couldn't really say but trust us, get rid of the a/c. Weighs a ton as well. Bourkey

It wont be massive gains i know but you will restore some lost power from there being dirt deposits in your engine. They slow everything down and reduce the efficency of it. Run V Power for a few thousand miles and you start seeing increasing fuel economy and a few more horses restored to your car. Well i have run super unleaded in mine since day one but there still may be some deposits in there. Im goiing to use v Power or BP Ultimate from now on though to keep it running sweet. I've got an idea next weekend. I've decided to take Thursday off work to sort my house out so im free for the weekend. Should we all meet at the new house. Clean all the cars up and head up to West Yorkshire? We could meet at 9.30am again to get them ready for 2pm. Then we have time for some last minute tinkering . Bourkey

Of course it will make things better for it . I have just been reading the links you put in. Turns out i was wrong, the V Power and the BP Ultimate contain detergents that actually clean you engine. Im going to start using V Power now i think or BP Utimate. The difference in them pictures of the valves is quite a lot. So if you start using them Asda then it will clean up your engine if the specifications are correct. Bourkey
