  4. This is something that I have a very passionate hate for and im hoping fellow car enthusiasts will. This dam congestion charge that the government plan to bring here to Manchester has begun voting now. Im begging you to pass this on to any car club website that you may be a member of in the hope we can stop it with the no vote. My main reasons for the No!!! 1)We already pay for the roads, which by the way are in shocking condition, especially here in Manchester. I have to spend a regular amount on tracking due to the poor condition of the roads. There is a few particular roads around Manchester that are worse than a dirt track. 2)It won't solve the congestion. It is merely going to move it else where so other parts of the North will be gridlocked, especially round the M60 ring road. 3)It will end up like London. Instead of loads of cars in the city, there will be thousands of the big bending buses we have here in Manchester. These have been known to cause more traffic with the back end sticking out of bus stops. 4)It is just another chunk out of the hard workers wage. Fuel Tax, Road Tax, and Council Tax all of which disappear into England's bank account so the government can pay themselves massive amounts. 5)The £2.9 billion they want to spend on this could be spent on better junctions, safer roads and policing, which we desperately need with all the gun and knife crime here. 6)The people paying the charge will have to pay for the road for all the buses, pay for the buses they don't use, pay for the trains they don't use, and pay for the system they don't want. All to fill the pockets of the government. 7)Cities like Birmingham and Edinburgh have already stopped this for the reasons I have mentioned. 8)If everyone went on public transport, even with this wonderful investment, it could not cope. The buses are crammed full, the double length Metrolinks they put on at peak times are always full. 9)Small businesses would suffer due to the extra costs of bringing in goods to sell. They could either take the extra cost out of profits or pass it on to the customer. Either way it isn't going to be good. 10)The cost of living will be higher here due to the prices of goods like food & clothes going up but the pay would be the same. 11)We are entering a difficult financial era, Why make it worse by spending our money on something that could cripple the city. This would cost me the full £5 a day to go to and from work where I earn an honest living 5 days a week. 5x5 = £25 a week. 25 x 48 weeks (4 weeks hol) = £1200 a year on top of my insurance, Tax, MOT's, and most importantly, Petrol. If I didn't have a job, I would have part of my rent paid for, get free money, get a discount on the charge and I would get to relax at home all day. Where is the fairness in this country. If you know anyone in Manchester or live in Manchester please vote no!!!!! Thanks Bourkey
  5. The Veyron did look a bit slow. I just knew it wasn't going to put in a good enough time to beat it. If you saw the Gumpert Apollo go round it was so much nippier. Bourkey
  6. It makes you sick when you see something like this. How can someone have so little regard for such a beautiful collection of cars. They want chucking in a fire. Bourkey

  13. Whitefield/Prestwich area. There is a big Tescos at the Whitefield motorway junction that we can meet in before we blast up the motorway. We usually meet at mine but im moving house this week so it will no longer be our meeting spot. Bourkey
  14. Sorry Enzo i really have to agree with Beaker on this one. A trader who has been involved in something this bad should never be allowed to be on the site let alone trade on it. Fair enough he could just re-register in another name but would someone really be that determind to trade in a place where he now has no customer base what so ever. If i ever saw him try to trade again i would be happy to point newbe in the direction of the topic on TGTT. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemies. This could have killed Matt, Matt's daughter and anyone stood at the side of the road. Just think of the familes at the funerals. Matt's family burying Matt and his daughter. I don't know about you but just thinking about it would bring a tear to Matt's eyes im sure. Bourkey

  20. I have had both the 45 and the 50 profile and i prefer the 50. The 45 gives you a tiny amount of better handling but the comfort is lost. I found they were a bit crashy and bangy. The 50 profile is a little more comfortable and you get more grip due to more tyre . Bourkey
  21. Personally wouldn't go for 17" wheels. You will lose lot of the nimbleness and drivability these cars are famed for. I have had 16's on for a week and didn't like it at all. 15's are best in my opinion. Up to you though bud . Bourkey
  22. Wow what a list. There is a vast amount of people from Manchester and an large number of them are from my area and the area im about to move to. This is going to end up causing a lot of trouble i think. There is phone numbers addresses. Think of what could happen to the families. I don't think it is a wise idea posting political views on here to be honest. This is a very multicultural community some of which could easily get offended. Im not being soft im just looking out for the site. I have opinions as does most people but lets keep it friendly yeah . Bourkey
  23. Bout time!!!!!! Bourkey
  24. This is how my dads first ever accident happened. French guy though with my dad. Rate A BULBS!!!!! Bourkey
  25. ^^^^^^^^^^Agreed. @ Fishy - I wish i had seen the car like you. It must have been an utter disgrace!!! Bourkey
