Well, The KYB Excel G are the ones that come on the Glanza's and GT's as standard. They are gas filled shocks so are reletivly good. The oem uk ones are oil filled and as Asad said they will burst in a matter of months. The gas ones are better though. As Asad also said you are better off finding some KYB Special SR's as they are made for lowering springs so they last a great deal longer. I have these coupled with some Eibach springs. The handling is pretty dam good and i like to chuck it about on country roads. Bourkey

Don't need to laquer it. My dad put some special stuff on it. I can't rememeber what it is called though. I'll ask him when i next see him ;). I also got my interior smartened up this weekend. It was looking a bit rough and the DVD headunit was fitted badly. I pulled my thumb out and sorted it all out. I also have a little single din cubby hole below the radio now. I then give it the first cleaning in about 4 months and got a new car scent air freshener to make it smell lurrrrrrrrrrvly!!!!! . I didn't manage to get the seats in this weekend but they will definately be going in next weekend.

No it wasn't hard at all. Took my dad about 20 minutes to do it. If you want it doing just chuck a rocker cover in the post to me and i'll get him to do it for you. He can even get it to a mirror finish but that takes a good while and i couldn't be bothered waiting. Yeah the garage that i went to are very good. I have never been there before but they were recommended by a friend to me. I was very cautious as i hate going places i have never been before. Here is a quick picture update. This is the new rocker cover that my dad buffed up. It's not a mirror finish but it looks equally smart. Next thing to get is a Sard rising rate fuel pressure regulator. This is so i can run at 1 bar . The latest mod was a brand new MOT test certificate. It originally failed as one of the shocks was loose so i tightened it and went back to get the pass . I did have an advisory though. It says i have no rear seats or seat belts. WELL DUUURRRRRRRR ;). If your talking about me then you spelt my name wrong . Anyway yes i did sort of port it. I got a drill and one of my dads Uber sharp drill bits and got kiddy with the wastegate. It was when i had the engine sat in the garage so it was pretty easy to do. Im guessing with a dremel it would be fairly easy as they are more compact than a drill. The only reason i did it was due to people mentioning this boost creep so i though i'd solve it before the engine was even in ;). Bourkey

Mine does that fizzing noise all the time. Both Starlets i've owned have done it and pretty much every Starlet i have seen does it. Dont worry bud . I say put the n/a intake back on. It does the job for now. Your just being fussy . Bourkey
