  1. my guess is the site maintenance, the posts have been permanently deleted in order to increase the performance! if you remember a week or so ago people were saying about the site being "hungover"... this is quite common on some of the techy forums i use... and it happened ages ago on experts exchange :p people lost there points and people werent happy!

  2. the sidelights werew fine mate, i wewnt over to sims toyota in northampton today, and they had none of the clips/ sockets :p i managed to use a soldering iron and made a frankenstein of a job... but aqs i went to refit it i managed to snap the top bit that you put the screw in and also the bottom part that plugs into the clip/socket! NIGHTMARE NUMBER 2!

the sidelight is now on top of my mates pinball machine as the epoxy resin sets! (gonna take 16 hours lol)

so will ave to wait till the morning for it to set...

  3. Is the clip the ball joint part if so i have one :p

no mate, it holds the lower part of the indicator housing to the bodywork... I will get a picture up tomorrow :/

    Cheers anywho!

Will probably need a breaker to send it to me! It's quite small so hopefully won't be worth the postage stamp it's sent by!

    Kind Regards,

    nathan

  4. Hi all,

tonight, as were having lovely cold dark wet weather, I decided to go about replacing my broken headlight (thanks to kevxx) and broken sidelight (thanks to cheshireglanza).

All was going really well (apart from it being cold wet and dark) and sucessfully replaced the headlight! Then I removed the other headlight to get a nice bit of room to my broken sidelight, I removed all of the dodgy cableties that were holding the broken one in and then connected and pushed the new one in (easier said then done, are the sportif sidelights slightly smaller than the glanza ones?) but it seemed to sit ok until I refit the headlight... There is a small white clip that holds the bottom bit of the sidelight in, on the metal frame bit behind the sidelight (will get a pic tomorrow when it's light).

The said clip has a piece broken :p and I really wanted it sorted! Does anyone have a solution to this broken clip? Or would anyone be kind enough to post it in an envelope if I pay for the stamp? Lol

    kindest regards,

    Nathan

  5. sorry, just found this section...

bought some nice cheapy alloys, arrived at the scene promptly (expected when hes rolling in a glanza ;) ) wheels were as described and more tread on the tyres than expected

    cheers!

  6. hi folks, since ive had my N/a Sportif, ive noticed the engine management light comes on at sertain times, when i leave it idle after a cold start, as its warming up it comes on until it reaches half way on the temp guage.

i done a fault test by bridging T1 and E1 on the diagnostics box and got as follows...

    flash flash

    pause

    flash flash

    longer pause

    flash flash

    pause

    flash flash

    longer pause

im guesiing this is fault code 22?!? which would be "CTS Open or short Cuircuit". what is CTS and how do i fix this?

    regards,

    Nathan

  7. Hi Folks!

probably been posted millions upon millions of times before, but i obviously missed them all!

yesterday i finally got round to removing the adhesive from the bump strips on the side of my sportif! The outcome looks a lot better for obvious reasons but the pain i went through...

    My list of tools;

NO HAIRDRYER! (alot of people suggested it)...

1 x Plastic Ruler (for scraping the adhesive)

1 x Bottle of Auto Glym - Intensive Tar Remover

1 x Bottle of Isopropyl Cleaning fluid (to lift any specs of adhesive that remained)

    1 x Old dish cloth

    Time Taken;

    4...yes... FOUR FRIGGIN HOURS!

I went through 8 smokes and 6 cups of tea! The worst thing was, it was chucking it down!

im happy with the result though :p will get some pics up later...

feel free to tell me what i done wrong, and how much easier it would have been if...

    Kind regards,

    Nathan
